94 points Wine Enthusiast: "A delicately structured, low-alcohol Pinot from the Sonoma Coast that shows winemaker Ehren Jordan's increasing fascination with this part of Sonoma County. The wine is light in texture, with savory wild cherry, licorice, sweet tobacco, mocha, bacon and spice flavors. That sounds like a wild assortment, but somehow it all comes together, in a wine of singular focus and discernment. Drink now–2020. Alcohol 13.5%. (Jul 2013)"
93 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2011 Pinot Noir Whistler Vineyard, from a site at the very northern edge of Sonoma County, is all about nuance and delineation. Finely cut, chiseled flavors emerge from this mid-weight Pinot. Clean veins of bracing acidity give the 2011 its sense of energy and thrust, while floral notes reappear on the finish, adding further lift. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2023. (Apr 2013)"
92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(from a high-altitude vineyard on thin soil north of Peay; vinified with a substantial percentage of whole clusters): Good medium red. Musky aromas of black cherry, smoky minerals, white pepper and tea leaf. Sweet and fine-grained in the mouth, with lovely depth to its cherry, licorice and anise flavors. Finishes tangy, savory and long, with a serious dusting of tannins. Obviously a site worth following for its pinot. (May 2013)"
