98 points James Halliday (Wine Companion): "90% cabernet sauvignon, 6% merlot and 4% petit verdot. Deep, bright purple-crimson hue; the expressive indeed, perfumed bouquet pointing the way for the elegant medium-bodied palate, where juicy fruit, oak and tannins are fused seamlessly together. An appropriate wine for Voyager's 40th anniversary, certain to celebrate its 50th. The difficulty will be keeping your hands off it. Drink By: 2028. Alcohol 14%. (Nov 2018)"

93 points Wine & Spirits: "[$65 list] Silken and svelte, this wine’s currant and cassis flavors take a gentle approach to cabernet sauvignon. Which is not to say it isn’t full bodied, or is lacking in tannins. The oak influence adds notes of bacon, but doesn’t compete with the wall of fruit that comes on in a wave of ripeness. Enjoyable to drink now, this has the potential to age well. (Oct 2018)"

Producer notes: "Nose: Complex bouquet of dark berry fruits with hints of violets, cocoa and cedar. Palate: A core of vibrant sweet black and red berry fruit with earthy gravelly nuances contributing a nice savoury element to the wine. Hints of cedar and chocolate add further complexity and texture with great length and balance, supported by fine-grained tannins and seamlessly integrated French oak. Food Match: Roasted, pan-seared or slow cooked meats, or crumbly aged cheeses."
