A rarely seen vineyard uniquely sandwiched between Bonnes Mares, Les Fuees and Les Gruenchers. With the onset of global warming, upper slope vineyards in Chambolle such as these are becoming all the rage, as the shallower soils and cooler temps have brought once "tighter" wines into better balance.
90-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from yields of 25 hl/ha and 35% whole cluster). Reduction currently dominates the nose but there is excellent intensity, freshness and concentration to the muscular medium weight plus flavors that offer very fine depth and persistence on the more obviously structured and borderline rustic finish. As is usually the case this is less refined than the Fuées but what isn't always the case is that it's actually more complex. Patience. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2018)"
