Verzenay is the home of refined, structured pinot noir of definition and drive. Godmé has created a spicy savoury and firm style of understated red cherry and strawberry fruits underscored by the toasty, biscuity complexity of barrel fermentation and bottle age. Its 2010 base has underplayed fruit presence and exaggerated dry, fine-grained phenolic grip, lacking the flamboyance of great seasons, through upholding persistence, balance and salty minerality on a long finish.
