95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Anything with “wild” in the name indicates a wine that walks to its own beat, which Greywacke's now iconic wine certainly does. No green veg-and-fruit combo typically found in Marlborough's famed Sauvy B style here. Instead, a great swathe of rich, reductive characters appear from first inhale: toasted cashews, matchstick and grilled lemons. It's waxy, salty and evocative. The palate is all about texture, rich and creamy but never heavy, thanks to permeating acidity that keeps the mouth watering. Sip beside grilled mushrooms or asparagus risotto. Alcohol 13.5%. (Dec 2025)"

94 points James Suckling: "This lively and precise sauvignon blanc has an enticing nose of fresh lemons, spiced apples, rocks and sweet spices. Medium-bodied with bright acidity. Agile, with plenty of energy and texture. Driven and savory, with a long finish. Sustainable. Drink or hold. Screw cap. (10/8/25)"

90 points Wine Spectator: "A distinctive style, with a whiff of flint that complements the smoked sea salt, honeysuckle and lanolin notes up front. Offers a core of apricot, white peach and dried orange zest on a supple frame, with vibrant acidity. Drink now. 700 cases made. (10/31/25)"

Producer notes: "Aromas of rock melon, ginger, lime zest and toasted coconut abound. Lemon curd and tangelo flavours provide a juicy foundation to the expansive, full-flavoured palate. Lush and textural in style, the wine is well tempered by chalky oyster shell notes and a generous spine of acidity. A hands-off interpretation of Marlborough sauvignon blanc and an untamed, unique expression of the season and our Southern Valleys terroir."
