*****/Highest Recommendation, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Clear as rain water. The inital nosing pass unearths a toasted/charred/sooty aroma that's beguiling, mildly sweet and concentrated on the grain; the middle stage nosings add an oiliness that perfectly complements the smoke; by the last pass, following nearly nine minutes of time in the glass, the aromatic potency hasn't lost a step and indeed adds a further scent of dark-roasted coffee bean; one hell of a robust but elegant vodka bouquet. The coffee bean feature found at the tail end of the nosing stage continues on at palate entry in the form of a cocoa/coffee taste that's absolutely lip-smacking delicious; the midpalate is bold, beautifully textured, and offers hearty but silky flavors of vanilla, coffee bean, and cocoa. The aftertaste is medium long, intensely bean-like, sweet, and warming in the throat. Superbly satisfying simply on its own, chilled."
