93 points Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine: "(100% albariño) Colour: bright yellow. Nose: ripe fruit, toasty, aged wood nuances, pattiserie. Palate: flavourful, fruity, toasty, long. (2016)"

92 points Luis Gutierrez (Wine Advocate): "[$39 list] The 2012 Navia is barrels fermented and aged in contact with the lees for 13 months in a similar fashion as the 2010 vintage form three hectares of vines on granite soils, fermented and aged in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels (25% new), as they want to work the lees and they believe the barrel is the best container to do this. There are no traces of oak here, fruit is at the forefront with aromas of yellow plums, ripe, with a slight tropical hint, developing some fresher fennel and aniseed aromas with time in the glass. The palate surprised me with its concentration and mineral, salty taste, flavors that make you salivate, good acidity that calls for food. It has the balance, stuffing and acidity to age well. Great Albariño! 6,450 bottles produced. Drink: 2014-2019. (Jan 2015)"

92 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "($39 list; aged in French oak for 11 months): Light yellow-gold. Intense orange and nectarine scents show excellent clarity and power, with spicy mineral, honeysuckle and mineral qualities adding vivacity. Racy, sharply focused citrus and orchard fruit flavors pick up richer pit fruit and buttery qualities with air, as well as an exotic touch of anise. Mineral-tinged finishing flavors of pear and orange peel linger with outstanding tenacity and clarity; this reminded me a lot of a high-class Chablis. (Sep 2014)"

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$39 list] Rich and leesy on the nose, this is packed with dusty apple and honey aromas. A firm, citrusy palate isn't showing much age, while flavors of orange, lime and persimmon finish long and lively, with freshness and leesy complexity. Drink now. (Apr 2015)"

90 points Wine & Spirits: "La Caña is a project of Jorge Ordoñez, a Spanish wine importer. His Navia comes from three small patches in Salnés, with an average age of 30 years. Fermented in 500- and 600-liter casks with prolonged lees contact, this wine has developed a decadent texture. Rich in sweet fruit, it lasts on ripeness. (Aug 2015)"
