90 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$35 list] Succeeds in playing the Chardonnay card just where consumers want it. With some new oak, it’s packed with tangerine, apricot, green apple and peach flavors, made brisk by acidity, and finished with honeyed ripeness. 1,470 cases produced. Alcohol 13.5%. (Jun 2012)"

'Chardonnay All-Americans 2012,' PinotFile: "[$35 list] 13.5% alc., pH 3.38, TA 0.75, 1,470 cases. Sourced from independent growers (67%) and Freestone estate vineyards (33%). Aged 8 months in 20% new and 7% two to three-year old French oak barrels. · Light yellow in color and slightly cloudy. Uplifting aromas of lemon curd, pomelo and baked apple. Delicious flavors of lemon tart, white pear and subtle oak with bright acidity driving the wine. Finishes soft and creamy. A very classy wine at this price point. (12/26/12)"

Producer notes: "100% Sonoma Coast Chardonnay sourced from the Dutton Ranch Mill Station Vineyard (67%) and the Freestone estate vineyards (33%). Barrel aged 8 months in French oak (30% new and 70% two- to three-year-old). This wine has a very expressive floral bouquet with notes of baking spices, wet stone and toasted vanilla bean. There is a hint of mid-palate sweetness that nicely buffers the core of acidity and complements the array of pear tart, white peach, green apple and lemongrass flavors."
