90 points California Grapevine: "Medium-dark ruby with purplish tinges; attractive, forward, fragrant, spicy, red and black fruit aroma with hints of dill, mint, and cassis; medium-full to full body; forward, rich, precocious, plummy, black cherry and dark berry fruit flavors with notes of sweet oak and mocha, and a slight creaminess in the mouthfeel; medium to medium-full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very enjoyable to drink now and a good value (especially when found discounted). Very highly recommended. 14.5% alcohol; blended with 2% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc; released Summer 2012.
