93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2010 Vosne-Romanée 'aux Brûlées' from Domaine Bruno Clavelier is excellent, delivering a deep and classy nose of dark berries, black cherries, espresso, a bit of game, dark soil tones and a deft framing of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and nicely reserved in style, with a sappy core of fruit, outstanding soil inflection, ripe, fine-grained tannins and excellent length and grip on the focused and youthful finish. This is a fine, fine example of this great premier cru. 2020-2060. (Jun 2012)"

90-93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(racked without exposure to air): Medium red. Red fruits and a whiff of peach on the slightly reduced nose. Juicy and pure, with lovely cut and a low-pH mouth feel to the crystalline red fruit and crushed stone flavors. Comes across as a deeper and fresher version of the Combe Brulee, with its saline character in harmony with its superb fruit. Finishes with silky tannins. (Jan/Feb 2012)"

90-93 points Fine Wine Review: "The Vosne-Brulées was only about 30-40% through its malolactic fermentation when I tasted, so this is a more tentative judgment than usual. Cassis dominates the nose and continues on the palate along with other dark fruits. The wine is dense, pure, intense, and nervy. (Issue #134; 2011)"

90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines). Once again, reduction knocks down the nose though the attractively rich flavors offer fine size and weight plus very good mid-palate concentration. There is a lovely texture on the subtly mineral-inflected, racy, intense and mildly austere finish and I like the overall sense of harmony here and the refinement of the moderately firm structural elements is evident. Drink: 2020+. (Jan 2012)"
