92 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "Pale yellow. Expansive, highly perfumed bouquet of tangerine, honeysuckle and chamomile, with a spicy topnote. Deeply pitched orchard and pit fruit flavors are energized by juicy acidity, with notes of citrus zest and minerals emerging with air. A lively citrus pith note adds definition and a bitter edge to the long, sappy finish. (Nov/Dec 2012)"

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$26 list] Talley produces some of the best Chardonnays on the Central Coast. Although this isn’t one of their single-vineyard bottlings, it’s a splendid wine, dry, crisp and silky. It shows complex citrus, vanilla and mineral flavors, and should pair with lobster, shrimp and scallops. (Jul 2012)"

90 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "[$26 list] The entry-level 2010 Chardonnay Estate is a gorgeous wine. Here the fruit shows the slightly richer aromatic and flavor profile of Chardonnay. Pastry, lemon, pears and white flowers are some of the notes that flesh out in the glass. This is another terrific wine for the money. The Estate is mostly Rincon, with a dash of Rosemary’s. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. (Aug 2012)"

Producer notes: "Light golden yellow in color, this chardonnay has fresh aromas of white peach, nectarine, and lemon curd with notes of powdered sugar, toast and grilled nut. On the palate, this wine has a creamy texture layered with flavors of pear, wet stone, and vanilla bean that is balanced by a fresh acidity leading into a toasty, elegant finish. This chardonnay pairs well with delicate white fish and shrimp dishes. 75% Rincon Vineyard, 25% Rosemary's Vineyard."
