90 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "[$29 list] Intense, keenly focused on vital blackberry fruit and showing an uncanny sensation of polish for the very ripe wine that it is, this impressive young Zinfandel proves that success can be found in even the most difficult vintage. True to its maker, it is a big and sturdy wine with plenty of muscle and mass, and, if it can justly be accused of being a bit tight and nervy just now, it has all the right parts in all the right places to age famously for some five or six years. (May 2012)"

Producer notes: "The nose is full of bright berry fruit and complimented by minerals and subtle black pepper. The front palate exudes raspberry jam and blackberry cobbler which evolve into richer flavors of vanilla and dark chocolate. The tannins are well balanced and approachable from a young age. The beautiful acidity will prove to be a hallmark of the vintage, giving this wine great length. The finish is long and pure; leaving no doubt that this is a well balanced Zinfandel. Enjoy the 2010 Dry Creek Zinfandel over the next 4-6 years. Barrel aged 14 months in 80% French oak and 20% American oak. 97% Zinfandel, 3% Petite Sirah. Alcohol 15.2%."
