Fine Wine Review: "[$18 list] The vineyards here are just north of Naples and on the coast, and so they are sandy and able to support these ungrafted vines. The result is a smooth, but firm wine with roses in the nose, a silky texture, and dark, slightly earthy fruit in the mouth. A good wine for pizza and tomato-based pasta sauces. Lot L 3. 12.5% stated alcohol. (Issue #134; 2011)"
Producer notes: "This bright, fresh-tasting wine is made from the Falanghina grape in the area known as the Campi Flegrei, on the coast just north of Naples. It is pale yellow in color with a greenish glint, smells like wildflowers with harmonious palate impression, and complements antipasti and all manner of seafood."
