87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An almost invisible touch of wood frames agreeably fresh and ripe liqueur of red raspberry nose that leads to solidly well-concentrated and delicious flavors that possess unusually good energy in the context of the vintage, all wrapped in a complex and lingering finish. This is really quite fine for what it is and recommended. Comments: Outstanding. Drink: 2014+. (Apr 2012)"
87 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 Bourgogne rouge is a very good and soil-driven example of the vintage and its appellation. The very pretty nose offers up scents of cherries, orange zest, gamebirds and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and transparent, with a touch of tannin, good focus and very good length and grip on the finish. Good juice that will drink quite well from release, but will also keep nicely for several years. 2013-2020+? (Nov/Dec 2012)"
