90 points Robert Parker: "[$35 list] There are 25,000 cases of the 2009 Chardonnay Karia. Part of this cuvee is put through malolactic and about one-third is aged in stainless steel and two-thirds in wood. This light straw-colored Chardonnay is a Napa Valley regional blend as opposed to an estate Chardonnay. It offers up aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle and lemon oil in its medium-bodied, crisp, fresh style. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. (Dec 2010)"

90 points California Grapevine: "[$35 list] Medium-light golden yellow; attractive, toasty, citrus and stone fruit aroma; medium-full body; fleshy, herbal, citrus and peach flavors; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended. 13.5% alcohol; 71% barrel fermented; 45% malolactic fermentation; released November 2011. (Jun 2012)"

Producer notes: "This crisp and fresh Chardonnay opens with aromas of orange blossom, lemon oil and toasted brioche with sweet cream apple butter. 'Medium' on the richness scale, KARIA charms with its balance of ripe fruit, understated barrel spice, mouth-filling texture and refreshing acidity. The palate is loaded with flavors of ripe stone fruit and apple blossom that lead to a persistent citrus and spice infused finish. 45% malolactic fermentation. Fermentation: 71% barrel, 29% stainless steel tank. Barrel aged 9 months sur lies, 30% new French oak. Alcohol 13.5%"
