It gives up scents of wood smoke, tobacco, Asian spices, violets, and black cherry. Medium- to full-bodied on the palate, it has plenty of spicy black fruit, a firm structure that should permit another 2-3 years of cellaring, and a lengthy, pure finish. Drink it from 2012 to 2022.
