The 2002 is notable for its rich, creamy textured, remarkable depth and super-finessed texture. It is another terrific wine from Gimmonet. The 2002 is 54% Cramant and 31% Chouilly (both Grand Crus), along with 15% Cuis (Premier Cru), all old vines. As always, the Special Club is made from older vineyards, with a heavy percentage of Grand Cru fruit. This bottle was disgorged March 30, 2011. Dosage is 6 grams per liter.
