La Revue du Vin de France "Best Wines of France 2011": "Bernard Bouvier personifies the young generation of winemakers who have brought new blood to Burgundy. Having, like many others, yielded to the lure of modern winemaking, the domaine made some adjustments and the wines now tend to express more finesse. This year, we can speak of overall success in this area, which deserves its first star."
Not yet reviewed; Fine Wine Review on the 2008 vintage: "This is a producer who does not have high-profile vineyards, but delivers excellent quality for what he has and at moderate prices. Bouvier’s Bourgogne, En Montre Cul is from a well-known vineyard in Couchey, at the northern end of the Côte des Nuits. It is floral in the nose and shows light, floral red fruit flavors in the mouth. It is a prime example of how delightful a simple Bourgogne can be. I’d drink over the next 6-8 years."
