88 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "Light yellow-gold. Spicy aromas of orange, dried pear and tarragon. Dry and taut, with bitter pear skin and orange pith flavors lifted by tangy acidity. The dry finish shows good clarity and a faint hard edge, with the pear note repeating. (Sep/Oct 2011)"
Producer notes: "In 2010 Basa is an 85% Verdejo, 12% Viura and 3% Sauvignon Blanc blend, with a touch more Viura than in previous vintages. 2010 was an abundant vintage, though the harvest took place slightly later this year due to a bout of September rain. As always, it is a fantastically refreshing yet serious bottle of wine, with a range of aromas and flavors from stony mineral notes to citrus to tropical fruit."
