David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Winter’s basic generic 2008 Riesling trocken -- bottled in liters for short-term enjoyment -- is low-toned and herbal in a manner that reminds me of the corresponding Silvaner. A sense of creaminess suggests a hint of malo-lactic transformation (though, as Winter notes, not by design) yet this still satisfies with an ample sense of refreshment.
