With a mere hint of sweetness (from 9 grams residual sugar) and saline, wet stone, and pungent citrus zest notes, it offers a palate-coating, and refreshing finish, and a clear view of this magnificent Riesling vineyard. As with last year’s rendition, Eichinger employed some pre-fermentative skin contact with evident success. Expect this to repay at least 6-7 years of cellaring. (Feb 2009)"
