94 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$145 list] This premium version of the standard Grand Marnier uses Cognacs aged up to 25 years. The result is a deep amber color and earthier scent, showing aromatic orange peel and honeysuckle notes. The flavor is richer than the regular Cordon Rouge bottling, but still honeyed, showing bright orange notes on the finish. Full-bodied and sippable. abv: 40%. (Feb 2012)"
Named to the Spirit Journal's '140 Best Five Star Spirits in the World for 2011 (#26)': "Is there a more satisfying after-dinner treat than GM Centenaire? Let me answer that, please. NO. This particular, utterly seductive blend of oranges and cognac is astoundingly luscious and, to me, the obvious pick of the superbly conceived Grand Marnier litter. It hits the ideal balance of sweetness, tartness, and spiritiness. A global icon. (Jun 2011)"
Released in 1927 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company. A smooth, elegant blend of cognac, mostly from the top growing districts of Grand Champagne and Petit Champagne, and the essence of wild tropical oranges. Medium amber with copper-toned core. A bright, lively, zesty orange nose with hints of spice. A long, lingering after-taste with a beautiful balance between the flavors of the cognac and the orange. Uses cognac aged up to 25 years.
