91 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$32 list] Lots of zippy acidity in this fresh, dry, clean Sauvignon Blanc. It’s unoaked, which allows the Meyer lemon, orange and guava fruit to star. There’s a sweet vanilla taste that must come from the grapes. A beautiful, complex white wine to drink now. 690 cases produced. (Aug 2011)"
Producer notes: "Our top of the line estate Sauvignon Blanc is hand tended and aged in stainless steel. 24 hour skin contact gives the wine a complexity while letting the wine remain light and clean. This elegant Sauvignon Blanc stays true to the varietal with notes of light apple, feminine perfume and a freshness."

90 points Wine & Spirits: "[$25 list] This presents the prickly pear side of sauvignon, bringing the green flavors of a succulent plant to mind. The texture is supple, the alcohol driving the intensity of the flavor and the toastiness of the lees with a pleasantly pale burn. Chill it for veal sausage or a country pâté. (Oct 2011)"
Producer notes: "This wine is named after Fred's son Nicolas and is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Brander Vineyard Estate. It is a classic example of a white Bordeaux wine; aged sur-lie in 50% new French oak barrels to add richness in flavor and a silky texture, while still showcasing opulent fruit and firm-balanced acidity on the finish. A perfect pairing with Santa Barbara's richer seafood- we're thinking lobster with lemon butter or grilled salmon."

87 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$20 list] Hard to believe there’s no oak on this Pinot Gris. It has an elaborate layer of vanilla that must come from the grapes. However, the main flavors are tropical fruits, apricots and honeysuckle flowers. The sweetness level is between dry and off dry. 455 cases produced. Alcohol 14.0%. (Dec 2011)"
87 points James Suckling: "Pretty sliced apple and peaches on the nose and palate. Turns a little fruit cocktail like but attractive. (12/12/11)"
Producer notes: "This Pinot Gris was cold fermented in stainless steel and aged only five months. The 2010 Carr Pinot Gris has aromas of baked apples, citrus zest, ripe pears, apricots and mineral notes with a round soft mid-palate and a long finish. 455 cases produced."

Producer notes: "This 2010 version strikes me as the driest, most robust Riesling we’ve made since the 1988. This is certainly no 'sweet sipping wine.' In its firm structure and generous proportions it may be compared to an Alsace grand cru Riesling, and bear in mind that those wines are considered the primary dinner wines of that region. We therefore recommend highly that you show off this food-friendly Riesling at the dinner table, pairing it with a richly-sauced chicken dish or, even better, with a hearty 'Seafood Soup'. 80% tank fermented, 20% barrel fermented. 648 cases produced. Residual sugar: 0.2%. Alcohol 12.8%."

93 points Wine & Spirits: "[$30 list] Farmed under biodynamics at Grgich’s American Canyon and Carneros estate vineyards, this wine has the intensity of flavor that fruit can give at the peak of ripeness. The depth of that fruit flavor ranges from tart pear skin to kumquat, both brisk and resonant. Its underlying earthiness parallels the structure of a classic Loire chenin: a sauvignon that’s refreshing with river fish and big enough for foie gras. (Feb 2012)"
90 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Bright, pale yellow. Bracing, slightly raw aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit and pepper. Then surprisingly supple following the nose, with a dense, tactile lemony flavor intensified by sound acidity. Vibrant, very dry and delicate sauvignon blanc with excellent length. (May 2012)"
90 point California Grapevine: "[$30 list] Medium-light yellow; intense, herbal, stylistic, rather aggressive varietal aroma with a light trace of sulfur; medium-full body; assertive, crisp, herbal, grassy flavors; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended. 14.3% alcohol; 100% Sauvignon Blanc (including about 80% of the Musqué clone); 100% barrel fermented; 0% malolactic fermentation; to be released Spring 2012."
Producer notes: "This 100% Sauvignon Blanc was made from grapes that were certified organic and Biodynamic at our cool American Canyon and Carneros vineyards, not far from the San Francisco Bay. The wine's crisp, elegant flavors of passion fruit, lemon grass and a hint of minerality at the end of the long finish are perfect with a green salad topped by Chevre cheese, grilled seafood or sauteed chicken breast."

87 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$14 list] Husch was a pioneer of Gewürztraminer in Anderson Valley, and after all these years they still produce one of the more dependable bottlings in California. It’s a clean, dry, spicy wine at a good price. Great to pair with today’s ethnic-inspired fare, from Indian to Vietnamese. (Jun 2012)"
Producer notes: "The traditional aromas of lychee, honeysuckle and spice greet not only the nose, but the palate too. The 2010 Gewurztraminer has an exquisite brightness and juiciness on the palate that is reminiscent of mandarin orange. This mix of floral, spice, and fruit notes makes the wine a pleasure to drink in its youth, although the structure of the wine suggests an additional year or two of aging would be worth the wait. Indulge your senses by pairing this wine with a favorite curry dish, all types of spicy Asian, Indian, or Mexican cuisines, as well as fresh tropical fruits, smoked salmon, or a ginger glazed honey ham. Alcohol 13.8%. Residual sugar 0.7%. 945 cases produced."

Producer notes: "Nectar of the Gods! True Ice Wines are rare in our corner of the world; our unique climate is excellent for capturing the intense sweetness and crisp acidity necessary for top-notch dessert wines. We pick these Red Mountain Chenin Blanc grapes during a deep freeze in order to coax the concentrated juice needed for a dessert wine of this caliber. This involves monitoring vineyard temperatures deep into the night and picking at the right time to ensure optimal flavor and sugar extraction. Tasting Notes: Aromas of honeysuckle and tropical pineapple practically leap out of the glass. The intense sweetness is framed by generous acidity, elegant herbaceous grasses, and ripe apricot. Residual sugar: 27.1%."

Producer notes: "[$65 list] Moraga White Wine is produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are picked in a very narrow window of time, when the flavors shift from grapefruit zest to peach, nectarine and tropical fruit. The grapes are gently pressed and the juice is cold-settled, then racked into specially built stainless steel barrels that maximize lees contact. Initially about 20 percent of the juice is fermented in new French oak barrels and is then used to top the stainless steel barrels as the fermentation progresses. Ultimately, the wine receives a kiss of oak during fermentation, but is aged solely in stainless steel barrels. In order to preserve the beautiful fruit and refreshing acidity, the wine does not go through malolactic fermentation. It is aged on the yeast lees from eight to ten months prior to bottling. The purpose of these practices is to maintain the structure and texture of the wine, while allowing the exotic fruit and mineral characteristics of the vineyard to dominate the flavor profile. Bottling occurs in the late spring or early summer of the year following harvest, and the wine is bottle-aged for a year prior to release. The wine is an atypically long-lived Sauvignon Blanc."

93 points and 'Editors' Choice,' Wine Enthusiast: "From an especially cool vintage that favored acidity and citrus, this Poet’s Leap is a pretty wine, vibrant and full across the palate, with a mix of apple and peach flavors. Clean and balanced, it adds nuances of tea and finally a hint of honey in the extended finish. Alcohol 12.9%. (May 2012)"
92 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "As its devoted admirers know, Riesling can be a complex and very serious wine, and this latest lovely from Poet's Leap is an intense, beautifully balanced, slightly sweet version that smacks of minerals, fresh limes, a bit pineapple and citrus. It tastes of fruit rather than sugar, and it shows tremendous length with the kind of firm acid spine that guarantees it will be around and in increasingly good shape for many years to come. GOOD VALUE. (Sep 2011)"
90 points Wine Spectator: "This tangy wine has presence and depth, with a tart edge to the delicate sweetness, as apple and floral flavors linger on the finish. Drink now. (11/30/11)"
Producer notes: "Fresh and pure, this off dry Riesling is loaded with expressive aromatics and flavors of ripe pear, white nectarine, apricot and wet stone minerality. A welcoming richness and vibrant mouth feel, led by the wine's lemon-lime acidity, delivers a clean and lengthy finish."

Producer notes: "As one of our specialty bottlings of Dry Riesling, the Reserve draws from specifically identified lots, highlighting the very best qualities of our estate grown grapes from our three vineyard locations. The Reserve features a luxurious nose of tangerine followed by a delicate palate of citrus with a touch of juniper berry. A lingering finish continues to makes the mouth water long after the wine is gone. Food Pairing: Asian cuisine, chicken, pork. Alcohol 12%. Residual sugar 0.8%."
