Producer notes: "Great balance with bright acidity are the trademark of this wine. It is barrel fermented in 25% new François Fréres Burgundy barrels which frame the crisp apple and Asian pear flavors with a lovely savory, buttered toast finish."

Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 91 points by International Wine Cellar: "Bright gold. Deeper, richer and more powerful than the Sonoma Coast bottling, offering aromas and flavors of poached pear, papaya, orange zest and smoky minerals. Juicy, palate-coating orchard fruit and floral flavors are lifted by juicy acidity and sharpened by a gingery nuance. Shows very good energy and clarity on the tangy, focused, very long finish."
Producer notes: "Thirty-seven percent from six different Dutton ranches, 20% from three different Martinelli vineyards, 20% King, 8% Rochioli Vineyards, 6% Ritchie young vines, and 4% from Green Pastures (a 40-year-old Wente vineyard back Felta Creek Road). A slightly warmer climate compared with our more coastal sites results in an earlier harvest from these vineyards and a somewhat richer texture and flavor than our Sonoma Coast bottling."

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "You can feel and taste the cool weather during this vintage in the citrusy acids, steely minerals and sleek, streamlined flavors of Meyer lemons and nectarines. Barrel fermentation adds needed richness. Good price for a dry, sophisticated Chardonnay. (May 2011)"
Producer notes: "Distinct aromas of ginger and lemon zest are joined by toasty coconut, melon and caramel alongside a mineral, flinty cedar chest oakiness overlaid by notes of honeysuckle. Well-balanced with a solid acid backbone, the wine is rich and medium-heavy with a broad, yet firm, mid-palate. The long, lingering finish displays a touch of spice and lively acidity. Flavors of lemon, apple, pear, pineapple and cantaloupe, Sonoma's full cornucopia of fruit, join a nutty, spicy, lightly oaky profile. Fermented in oak and undergoing complete malolactic fermentation, the wine shows a mature influence by older vines and promises to evolve over time, bringing joy to both winemaker and those lucky enough to savor a glass. Pairing tip: A great complement to poultry, shellfish and vegetables. Ideal with goat cheese or sheeps' milk cheese."
