93 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "The Andrew Will 2009 Champoux -- which comprises 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot -- offers a terrific example of the combination of richness and textural polish with lift and energy that Washington State vineyards, and especially this one, can supply. Both blond and smoky Latakia tobaccos join black raspberry, purple plum and cassis, which are shadowed by their high-toned distilled essences. Hints of vanilla and nutmeg -- perhaps from barrel (ca. 40% new); or perhaps part and parcel of Champoux fruit -- are subtly complementary, while a saline savor grows in this beauty’s long finish, stimulating the salivary glands as well as the urge to take another sip. Expect this to excel for a decade. Camarda bottled his first Champoux vineyard designate from 1999, a pure Cabernet. Once fruit from the other cepages became available, he began bottling a blend of them all. (Dec 2012)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "Supple, elegant and gentle, unfurling its black currant, tar and floral flavors with grace, underlining them with refined tannins that allow the flavors to linger with delicacy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2019. 642 cases made. (8/31/12)"
91 points Wine & Spirits: "A cabernet-based bland grounded by old-vine fruit from Block 1 at Champoux, this is normally the most structured and reticent wine in the Andrew Will portfolio; in this warm vintage, however, Sorella designed to show a little leg. Massively built and powerfully structured, it is a ripe wine that in the end is not about ripeness or about fruit, but rather about potential energy and leashed intensity, a wine that's destined to reward those who cellar it as it knocks the impatient back on their heels. (Oct 2012)"
Producer notes: "43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Vedot. This wine has a full middle palate with layers of raspberry, black cherry, and plum with blueberry reflections. The wine is soft considering the percentage of cabernet and has good acidity that contributes to its freshness and structure. Alcohol 14.5%."

94 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "The 2006 Red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot aged in 73% new oak for 33 months. This loaded effort delivers a sexy concoction of toasty oak, exotic spices, and assorted black fruits that titillates the nose. Deftly combining power and elegance, it should see its 20th birthday in peak form. (Aug 2011)"
92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(a blend of 30% merlot, 26% cabernet franc, 20% cabernet sauvignon, 14% malbec and 10% petit verdot) Full, bright red. Rich, warm aromas of plum, cherry, redcurrant, tobacco, cocoa powder and minerals. Plump, broad, rich and aromatic in the mouth; really spreads out to coat the palate. At once pliant and focused, with impressive fruit intensity. Finishes broad and very long, with a fine dusting of tannins. (Nov/Dec 2010)"
Producer notes: "Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The 2006 displays a complex nose bright cherry and redcurrant fruits, with deeper layers of sage, bay leaf and fragrant spice. An instant explosion of thick, fleshy tannins provide excellent weight and density to the mid-palate and carry on to a lush and lingering finish. Barrel aged in 100% French oak (73% new) for 33 months. Alcohol 14.9%. 679 cases produced."

97 points and 'Top 100 Cellar Selections 2012 (#37),' Wine Enthusiast: "This is the best bottling of a very fine lineup from Leonetti. Dense, textural and complex, it showcases exceptional blending of flavors from the addition of just 7% Merlot, 4% Carmenère and 1% Malbec. Notes of plum, cassis, coffee grounds, dark chocolate and a hint of herb run through a complete and engaging finish, retaining both elegance and power. (Sep 2012)"
95 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "The Leonetti 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon - which incorporates some Merlot and Carmenere along with a smidgeon of Malbec - surprisingly evinces blueberry as well as cassis and cherry, in sweet but neither cooked nor confitured fashion, shadowed by suggestions of their high-toned, distilled counterparts. Ginger, cinnamon, toasted pecan, black tea and mint accents add to the appeal of lush fruit on a finely-tannic, full-bodied (14.6% alcohol) yet buoyant palate, and this finishes with an invigoratingly tart fruit skin edge and positively vibrant "ping" of sheer juiciness and energy that leave one's attention focused on a quivering tongue and the next sip. What a terrific example of how to achieve richness and sweetness of fruit while remaining fleet of foot! This beauty is unlikely to take a misstep for at least the next 12-15 years. (Dec 2012)"
93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(88% cabernet sauvignon, the rest merlot, carmenere and malbec): Bright ruby-red. Bright aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice. Sweet and lush in the mouth, with a sexy exotic spice element lifting the powerful flavors of dark berries, bitter chocolate and cocoa powder. Creamy and very ripe but showing excellent energy for 2009. Impressively concentrated and long on the finish. A superb 2009. (Nov/Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "Cabernet Sauvignon 88%, Merlot 7%, Carmenere 4%, Malbec 1%. Dark as night. An absolutely explosive nose of ripe red and black fruits, licorice, coffee, cassis and pine boughs. Palate is gorgeously plush, rich, dense, long, and loaded with fruit. Tannin is smooth and ripe, finish lasts forever. A very flamboyant yet balanced Cabernet. Aged 22 months in new and neutral French oak barrels."

Producer notes: "The 2009 is powerful and masculine with flavors of rich black fruits, deftly interwoven with notes of wild violet and mocha. Luscious blackcurrant is mingled with flavors of purple sage and savory herbs, all of which come together on a beautifully structured, long finish. This wine will age beautifully. Barrel aged 16 months in 30% new French oak. 530 cases produced."
Not yet reviewed; 2008 vintage rated 92 points by Wine Spectator: "Focused, sturdy and distinctive for its floral overtones and a hint of green herbs around a vibrant core of red berries and cherry. Has intensity and impeccable balance. Best from 2013 through 2018. 258 cases made."

92 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Quilceda Creek’s 2009 Red Wine -- which includes 15% of Merlot and near-negligible amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc -- nicely integrates preserved walnut, toasted pecan, and green herbal elements into a matrix of cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, and confitured dark berries. There is a hint of heat to the finish of this plush, plump offering, but neither that nor the wines torrefied elements detract from a torrent of sweet berry juiciness, nor preclude a sense of energy and a dynamic interaction of myriad elements. I suspect, based on intuition as well as reliable reports -- although I have scarcely any personal experience as yet with older Quilceda Creek wines -- that this will remain well worth following for at least a decade. (Dec 2012)"
91 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(cabernet sauvignon with 15% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot): Good deep ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of berries, chocolate and sexy spices; verging on exotic. Fat and sweet, with plenty of depth and a hint of surmaturite to the fruit and sandalwood flavors. Finishes with very suave, dusty, chocolatey tannins, a note of graphite and showy new oak. This very ripe, plump wine will offer plenty of early appeal. (Nov/Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec. The Quilceda Creek 2009 Columbia Valley Red Wine is a blend of declassified lots from an extraordinary vintage. The resulting wine displays savory black cherry fruit, marzipan, roasted herbs, minerals and smoke. Approachable now, this blend will best be enjoyed over the next 15 years."
