95+ points Robert Parker: "The 2006 Eloge’s dark plum/ruby color is followed by a sweet kiss of plum, black cherry, earth, licorice, and spice box, a medium to full-bodied wine, abundant tannin, and impressive concentration, purity, and overall complexity. Reasonably evolved, and extremely seductive aromatically, with a slightly structured finish, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 15 years. It is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, and 3% Merlot. (Dec 2009)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "Deep, dense and rich, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain oozes with character and sheer personality. Black fruit, tobacco, incense and crushed rocks are some of the many nuances that unfold as the wine sits in the glass. Tar, asphalt and licorice are layered into the sinewy, powerful finish. The 2010 is a fascinating and totally intriguing Cabernet. The blend is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Dark purple in its youth, the 2010 Spring Mountain Cabernet has an immediate core of pure black fruit, mostly cassis and blackberry. Full fennel/black licorice and crushed violets are also prevalent. The dark mountain earth minerality is balanced by sweet vanilla bean aromatics from the oak. The wine is quite plush with concentrated raspberry and more gravel mineral tones on the palate. The tannins this year are very firm, with natural mountain acid to balance, demanding some time in the bottle to show its best. Barrel aged 22 months in French oak (70% new and 30% 2-4 years old). Alcohol 14.2%. 914 cases produced."

94+ points Robert Parker: "More backward and structured, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve possesses copious black fruit, licorice, and forest floor notes as well as a boatload of tannin. While neither as charming nor accessible as the Juliet, it needs 3-4 years of cellaring, and should last for two decades thereafter. (Dec 2009)"

95+ points Robert Parker: "[$225/750ml list] The real star is the nearly 1,000 case-lot of the Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red. The dense, opaque plum/purple-hued 2006 Paradise Hills Vineyard exhibits a beautiful, sweet bouquet of melted chocolate, burning embers, blackberries, mocha, espresso roast, cassis, and cherries as well as stunning concentration, and formidable, but velvety, beautifully integrated tannins. This wine comes across like a hypothetical blend of California, a great Graves, and something from further north in Bordeaux, such as a Pauillac. Full-bodied and powerful, it requires 2-4 years of cellaring, and should evolve for 20-25+ years. (Dec 2009)"
95 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot) Dark ruby-red. Vibrant, complex nose combines currant, minerals, tobacco and brown spices. Wonderfully sweet, lush and fine-grained, with its silky texture enlivened by compelling inner-mouth perfume. Intriguing mineral and licorice notes add to the complexity of this very deep, layered wine, which finishes with spreading tannins and outstanding length. Large-scaled and rather powerful but with a lovely light touch. A superb 2006. (May/Jun 2009)"

Producer notes: "The 2009 Faust is a benchmark example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine opens with aromas of red and black cherries, ripe raspberry, hints of violets and a lovely perfume. A lush, full entry on the palate with blackberry, cassis, coffee and dark chocolate flavors leads to a rich, supple mouthfeel. A complex finish with dark fruit lingers in the mouth. The wine continually evolves in the glass, making it worthy of another taste. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec. Alcohol 14.2%. 95 points Robert Parker: "The 2006 Futo (75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot) exhibits a deep ruby/blue/purple color, a flawless integration of tannin, acidity, wood, and alcohol, and gorgeous opulence. While Futo is situated on western hillsides overlooking Oakville, it displays a style that has more in common with the purity and elegance found in Screaming Eagle, which is a few miles to the east, on the valley floor. This beautiful 2006 is a resounding success for this vintage, which had some issues with rustic tannins. It should drink well for 15+ years. This new, tiny operation, with a beautiful vineyard overseen by David Abreu, and Mark Aubert making the wines, had its debut release in 2004, followed by a brilliant 2005. They have continued to build on those successes with compelling wines in both 2006 and 2007. Production is gradually inching up, and should eventually reach 1,000 cases. There are approximately 500 cases each of the 2006 and 2007. Proprietors Tom and Kyle Futo are wine lovers with enough discretionary income to live out their dream. (Dec 2008)"
94 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(15.3% alcohol; a 75/25 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot) Very good deep ruby-red. Deep aromas of black raspberry, cassis, mocha, leather and dark chocolate. Dense and broad but sappy, with lovely lift to the lush flavors of blueberry, brown spices and tobacco. An outsized, opulent Napa Valley red with just enough acidity to keep it fresh. In fact, I find this less roasted than the 2005 release. Finishes with huge, dusty, building tannins and excellent length. (May/Jun 2009)"

98 points Robert Parker: "The 2004 Harlan Estate is probably the most precocious and accessible Harlan Estate that this perfectionist team has made. Already compelling, the wine has notes of roasted coffee, charcoal, blackberry, spring flowers, and some background sweet, toasty notes. Dense, fleshy, exuberant, even flamboyant by the standards of Bill Harlan, this wine exhibits no jaggedness or rough edges, has relatively high tannins, but they melt away on the palate. The wine is sensationally well-endowed, long, and rich -- a tour de force in winemaking. They can do no wrong at Harlan, and it is obvious, even in the most challenging vintages such as 1998, that this estate is a true grand cru/first growth, making wines of irrefutable world-class quality. Of course, none of this comes cheap, as the price is now moving up into the league with Screaming Eagle, but there are no shortage of takers. (Dec 2007)"
97 points Wine Spectator: "Firmly structured and tightly wound, with deep, perfumed currant, anise, sage and cedary oak notes, picking up a mineral and pebble edge and ending with a return to the spicy currant fruit. Long and persistent, with tight tannins. Best from 2009 through 2020. 2,126 cases made. Collectibles. (10/15/07)"
97 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Deep medium ruby. Superripe aromas and flavors of roasted black raspberry, licorice, mocha and minerals; just this side of liqueur-like. Thick, dense and silky but tightly wound and still youthfully closed. This compellingly deep wine boasts outstanding sweetness without coming off as over the top. Finishes with huge but sweet tannins and great length. (May/Jun 2007)"
The World of Fine Wine: "Intense nose, savory and a touch tarry. Fresher and livelier than the nose suggests, very ripe but shows a light touch; has a light herbal tone but is fully ripe. (Issue #32; 2011)"

93 points Beverage Testing Institute: "Deep garnet color. Very pure cassis and loamy earth aromas follow through to a big bold entry and a dryish full body with great herb and spice accents and long satisfying fruity fade with balanced tannins and a touch of cedar. A great table wine; pair with filet mignon."
Quarterly Review of Wines: "A richly-textured wine, this one has a thick cloak of currant and plum, framed with plenty of toasty-bacon-like oak; the ripeness of the fruit, and subsequent alcohol, is noticeable. Not made for the faint of heart. (Spring 2008)"

Producer notes: "As our new winemaker, Tony Biagi says, 'Terroir is a complex subject. Sometimes it’s just easier to taste it than explain it.' Our two Cabernet sites are a terrific study in the variances of terroir and how each unique site expresses its imprint on Cabernet Sauvignon. While the Hourglass Estate Cab tends to be more classically styled, the Blueline Cabernet is unapologetically 'Napa Valley' -- rich, lush and bold! Signature Blueline Vineyard aromas of warm blackberry pie (creamy dark fruit and yeasty dough), black cherry, cassis and plum are followed with a slight hint of toasted sage, bay leaf and fennel. On the palate, this Cab has wonderful flavors of black cherry, plum sauce, tobacco and soy, with a long rich finish. The warmer climate of Blueline Vineyard delivers polished tannins with a silky texture and broad mouth-feel. The acidity, a hallmark of the cooler 2010 vintage, delivers freshness and tangy vitality. This wine will age beautifully, but its charming approachability may prove too tempting to see how it evolves. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Barrel aged 19 months in French oak (45% new)."
Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 91 points by Wine Enthusiast: "This is a big, tannic, midnight black Cabernet, rude in youth and barely drinkable. The tannins are powerful enough to lock down the palate. The grapes, grown in Calistoga, are very ripe in blackberries, currants and dark chocolate, but those tannins are stubbornly astringent. Almost old-fashioned in toughness despite very high alcohol, it’s a curiosity that seems likely to develop in the cellar, but with so little evidence of past vintages, all bets are off. 690 cases produced. 15.4% alcohol."

93+ points Robert Parker: "When I first tasted the 2003, I thought it may be better than the 2002 and 2001. One of the top wines of the vintage, it tastes much younger than the 2002, displaying lots of tannin along with hints of melted chocolate, licorice, cedarwood, lead pencil shavings, toffee, blackberries and cassis. It exhibits great fruit and a full-bodied finish, but also some tannins in the finish. Give it another 5-6 years of cellaring, or, if you want to drink it now, decant it for 4-6 hours in advance. (Jun 2012)"
93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "15.9% alcohol) Full red-ruby. Superripe aromas of plum, mocha, tobacco, caramel and truffle, with a hint of roasted fruits. Thick and voluptuous, with superconcentrated flavors of plum, truffle and mocha. This offers rare sweetness and opulence with just enough mid-palate energy to maintain its shape. Finishes with very suave, lush tannins and lingering notes of caramel and mocha. This one is just this side of too much, with aromas that began almost oxidative, and yet the wine became fresher with extended time in the recorked bottle without any loss of sweetness. A rather extreme vintage in the context of Hundred Acre, but a wine of extravagant breadth and richness. (May/Jun 2006)"

97 points Wine Spectator: "Dense, rich and focused, youthful and concentrated, with hints of maturity on the edge of the core currant, mineral and spicy berry flavors. Wonderful vibrancy and intensity for a wine this age, which only bodes well for the future. A classic. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.--'97 California Cabernet retrospective. Drink now through 2020. (2008)"
96 points Robert Parker: "The prodigious 1997 Insignia (83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot) lives up to its pre-bottling promise. Tasted on three separate occasions, every bottle has hit the bull's eye. The color is a saturated thick-looking blue/purple. The nose offers up explosive aromas of jammy black fruits, licorice, Asian spices, vanillin, and cedar. Full-bodied as well as exceptionally pure and impressively endowed, this blockbuster yet surprisingly elegant wine cuts a brilliant swath across the palate. A seamless effort with beautifully integrated acidity, sweet tannin, and alcohol, it is still an infant, but can be drunk with considerable pleasure. Anticipated maturity: now-2025. (Dec 2000)"
94 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Full ruby. Supersweet aromas of blackberry, cassis, bitter chocolate, espresso and tobacco. Thick and seamless yet bright and sharply defined. Very long and spicy on the aftertaste, with excellent grip. Sweet tannins coat the teeth. Williams says the selection for Insignia is based on quality and concentration rather than on a particular flavor profile. (May/Jun 2000)"

93 points Robert Parker: "The 2002 Perry’s Blend (62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot) exhibits aromas of white flowers, blueberries, black currants, and a hint of wood. Possessing medium to full body, terrific fruit purity, and admirable symmetry as well as elegance, this powerful red wine should drink well for 10-15 years. As I have written before, Carolyn and Perry Butler have quickly made Juslyn one of the finest sources of top quality wine on Spring Mountain. They planted their estate vineyard in 1997 and have been sourcing high quality grapes from several of Andy Beckstoffer’s top Napa Valley vineyards. (Dec 2006)"
91 points Wine Enthusiast: "This Cabernet-based blend has some pedigreed vineyard fruit in it, including Tokalon and Beckstoffer Georges III. It’s extremely soft and complex, but not showing all that well at this moment. Seems a bit closed down, muted. But it’s a very fine wine that probably needs time to open. Drink 2008-2010. 92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "[$64/750ml list] Tobacco, flowers and new leather are some of the notes that emerge from Keenan’s 2009 Cabernet Franc. Open, radiant and expressive, the 2009 impresses with its mid-palate pliancy and juicy, resonant finish. Stylistically, the 2009 is more about place rather than the truest essence of varietal character, but it is a striking wine just the same. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "This wine was produced exclusively from grapes grown on the Keenan Estate located in Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain District. Our two blocks of Cabernet Franc were harvested on October 9th and October 27th, 2009. The fruit was hand-picked then, after de-stemming, the must was inoculated with Montrachet yeast and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine aged in French and American oak barrels for twenty months. 'Freakishly good' is how we have come to describe this single vineyard Cabernet Franc from our highest elevation vineyard (approx.2000') aptly named the 'Upper Bowl'. Cabernet Franc is simply not supposed to be this delicious. Enjoy now or decades from now."

Rich and voluptuous, it totally saturates the palate from start to finish. Dark fruit, violets, spices and licorice all flesh out in this large-scaled, dramatic Cabernet Sauvignon. Everything simply works. The 2009 is a great wine. Even better, it is extremely fairly priced considering the quality of what is in the bottle. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this jewel of a wine. I imagine another few years of bottle age will only help the 2009 develop even more complexity. In this vintage the Cabernet Sauvignon is 73% from Spring Mountain and 27% from Pope Valley. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (Dec 2012)"

Layers of fruit build to an effortless, huge finish long on texture and pure class. This voluptuous, highly expressive Cabernet Sauvignon is likely to drink well earlier than the 2010, but it also has the pedigree to age gracefully for years. The blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "2009 marks the 33rd vintage for the Robert Keenan Winery and the 9th consecutive vintage of 'Reserve' Cabernet Sauvignon. The five new cabernet clones that were replanted as bench
grafts in the spring of '98 are now showing their individual characteristics and the vineyard now in its twelfth year has hit full maturity. A combination of 78% Clone 7 Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Clone 15 Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc were chosen for this 100% Estate Spring Mountain cuvee of 650 cases. 95 points and 'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "The tannins are so fierce on this baby Cabernet that they effectively lock it down and make it tough to drink now. Yet there's a fabulous core of blackberries that are rich, ripe and intense. Everything about it suggests ageability. Give it at least eight years in a proper cellar, and it could age even longer. abv: 14.8%. (Jul 2012)"
94 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "[$75 list] The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as gorgeous and round in its expressive dark red and black fruit, earthiness, menthol, spices and graphite. The firm Howell Mountain tannins are there, but the presence of Merlot (12%) helps to soften the wine. This is a gorgeous showing from La Jota and winemaker Chris Carpenter. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (Dec 2011)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "Intense, supple and graceful, with a potent beam of mineral-laced dried berry, currant, cedar and tobacco flavors, fulfilling its focus and promising a long life ahead. Best from 2014 through 2028. (9/5/12)"
91 points California Grapevine: "Medium to medium-dark purplish ruby; attractive, cedary, cassis and dark berry fruit aroma with hints of tobacco, green olive, and espresso; full body; rich, currant and blackberry flavors that are nicely balanced and elegantly styled; medium-full to full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended. 14.8% alcohol; blended with 12% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot; released Fall 2012. (Nov 2012)"
90 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(with 12% merlot, 3% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot; 85% new French oak): Good deep ruby. Musk cassis, black cherry and chocolate on the nose. Fatter and sweeter than the merlot, at once muskier and more penetrating in the mid-palate, with a distinctly juicy quality and good energy to the mountain berry flavors. Finishes with substantial but round tannins and very good length. Owing to its vibrancy, this may yet merit an even higher score with a few more years in bottle. (May 2012)"

Producer notes: "Planted by Justin Meyer in 1974 and named for his wife, Bonny's Vineyard went on to become one of Napa Valley's most celebrated Cabernet vineyards and was Silver Oak Cellars' signature bottling for over a dozen vintages. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2006 Bonny's Vineyard is two things at once: a classic example of our family's celebrated Oakville vineyard and a reflection of the weather during the vintage. Brooding and wintry at first, it's a dark and stormy Cabernet, with aromas of leather and cardamom, hints of eucalyptus, and a dense core of black fruit. Spring-like characteristics emerge with air, including the bright flavors of red and black cherries. Plums and blackberries invoke summer on the fully exposed palate, seasoned by aromas of cedar and vanilla. Much like the enduringly beautiful weather we experienced in the fall, the depth of tannin and concentration of fruit linger elegantly on the palate. More so than any wine we produce, this vintage of Bonny's Vineyard is what pairs best with rich, substantial flavors such as a standing rib roast or the finest aged cheese. Barrel aged 35 months in 100% new American oak. Alcohol 13.5%. 147 cases produced."

96 points Wine Spectator: "Pure, rich and concentrated, this bold, graceful wine offers a deep core of earthy currant, blackberry and plum, with hints of herb, mocha and black licorice, giving it uncommon complexity and depth. Ends with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. Best from 2010 through 2017. (10/15/09)"
94 points Robert Parker: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers a beautiful perfume of violets, black currants, and subtle oak, lead pencil shavings, and spice characteristics. This full-bodied, creamy textured Cabernet possesses superb concentration, lovely purity, and a multilayered mouthfeel. It should drink well for two decades or more. (Dec 2008)"
94 points International Wine Review: "[$135/750ml list] The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve combines a powerful fragrance with intensity of flavor. It offers rich black currant fruit with notes of lavender, cassis and cedar. It reveals a creamy mouth feel with concentrated lingering black fruit flavors, spice notes and coconut. It also shows polished tannins and outstanding richness and balance right through to the finish. This is a wine to cellar for the decades. (Mar 2010)"
93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(includes 8% cabernet franc) Good deep ruby-red. Currant, chocolate and tobacco on the nose. Silky, layered and lush, with a seamless texture to the full-bodied flavors of plum, currant and lead-pencil minerality. Has plenty of plump mid-palate fruit to support the big but thoroughly ripe tannins, which reach the front teeth. Mostly from To-Kalon fruit, the rest from nearby vines also in Oakville. Winemaker Janssens compared this wine to the 1995. This is sweet and approachable, whereas the 2005 version was young and aggressive at the same stage. (May/Jun 2009)"
'125 Top Picks of 2009' and 92 points Wine News: "[$135/750ml list] Inky, blackish hue. Menthol-laden bouquet with notes of leather and new oak. Soft plum, blackberry and red licorice flavors laced with fine-grain tannins. Vibrant mintiness, black cherry fruit and new oak prevail in the lengthy finish. (Sep/Oct/Nov 2009)"
92 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "In this tricky vintage, the Mondavi winery has been able to move beyond the potential angularity that pops up so often and instead has delivered a polished, focused wine that shows far more fruit and far better balance than its stated alcohol of 15.5% would seem to suggest. Ripe and mouthfilling but also amazingly silky in texture and deep in curranty fruit, this one has plenty of depth upon which to grow while its evident tannins age out over the next half decade and more. (Dec 2009)"
Quarterly Review of Wines: "[$135/750ml list] At first look, this is a sizeable, fleshed out beauty, but there is subtlety and refinement tucked into the plush exposition of black currant, cigar box, violets, sage and peppermint. Plenty dark and plenty ripe, but all the elements -- despite their size, breadth and forwardness -- are packed together in a most harmonic manner. Reminds me of one of Robert's favored sayings: 'All things in moderation ... with a few glorious exceptions.' (Autumn 2010)"

Mocha, espresso, spices, plums and blackberries are just some of the many notes that jump from the glass in this seamless, striking wine. The 2009 boasts exceptional textural finesse and tremendous class. In 2009 Les Pavots includes 22% Cabernet Franc, one of the highest percentages ever. It all works beautifully. The 2009 is firing on all cylinders. All of the vineyards in Les Pavots are now over 20 years old. In 2009 the blend is 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2017. (Feb 2012)"
95 points Wine Spectator: "Offers a strikingly complex mix of flavors that are refined and
graceful. Pure, rich and supple given its level of intensity and concentration, with a beautiful core of ripe wild berry, pomegranate, spice, mineral, cedar and graphite. Holding back ever so slightly. Another classic Les Pavots. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. (7/25/12)"
94 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(a blend of 66% cabernet sauvignon, 22% cabernet franc, 10% merlot and 2% petit verdot): Opaque ruby. Pungent, assertive aromas of dried cherry, cassis, pipe tobacco, vanilla and woodsmoke, with a sexy floral accent emerging with air. Juicy and sharply focused, offering bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors brightened by a spicy element. Fine-grained tannins add shape and gentle grip to the very long, appealingly sweet finish. There are 3,500 cases of this wine to go around from the 2009 vintage. (May 2012)"

93+ points Robert Parker: "The dense ruby/purple 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a big, cedary, spice box, creme de cassis, crushed rock and earthy-scented bouquet. Full-bodied, juicy and succulent with good acidity, freshness and vibrancy, it is approaching its plateau of maturity. Another 2-3 years of cellaring will not harm it, and it is capable of lasting another 15+ years. It is an impressive, mountain-styled, pure, generous Cabernet Sauvignon. (Jun 2011)"
93 points Wine Spectator: "Dark-colored, with rich mocha, exotic spice, blackberry, cedar, black cherry and currant aromas, it slowly builds intensity and depth and reveals a tight core of deeply concentrated flavors supported by firm, rich tannins. Best from 2005 through 2012. (12/15/03)"
92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(100% cabernet sauvignon) Aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant liqueur, black plum and chocolate. Juicy, penetrating and brooding, yet at the same time sweet and seamless. High-pitched, highly concentrated flavors of black fruits and minerals. A powerfully tannic wine that finishes with terrific thrust. Compared to some of the other Pride 2001s, this really demands a few years of cellaring, and may ultimately merit an even higher score. (May/Jun 2004)"

99 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "The flagship 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon comes predominantly from the famous Champoux Vineyard in which the winery is a partner. It was aged in 100% new oak. It sports a deep purple-color with a captivating nose of spice box, sandalwood, truffle, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black currant. Opulent on the palate (but elegant as well), it already reveals serious complexity, density, and succulence of fruit. Enjoyable now but with at least 8-10 years of cellaring potential, this marvelous effort should have a 30 year lifespan. (Oct 2009)"
98 points Wine Enthusiast: "The 2006 flagship Cabernet from Quilceda Creek is a massive wine that has just begun to emerge from its slumber. When first released the wine seemed to have entered a dumb phase, but six months later it responds to decanting and shows its muscle. Fruit flavors of black, brandied cherries, cassis and bourbon-soaked plums are wrapped in generous, layered oak. The wine is dusty, smoky, laced with streaks of licorice and brightened with sharp acids. It continues to expand further in the glass, adding flesh and spice to its frame, with a cedar/cigar box finish. Cellar Selection. (Mar 2010)"
94 points Wine Spectator: "Very ripe and generous. Not a big wine, but brims with plum, currant, black olive, cedar and roasted meat flavors, all playing against crisp tannins and lingering on the tight finish. Needs time in the cellar in order to open and flourish. Best from 2012 through 2020. (5/13/09)"

Producer notes: "Winemaker Paul Golitzin describes the 2010 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon as having a rich, velvety mouth feel. It is filled with layers of dark chocolate covered black cherry, blackberry and plum fruit with exotic nuances of Tahitian vanilla bean, violet pastilles and Asian spices. Its seamless integration of all its component parts makes it approachable now, but will age effortlessly for 20+ years. 99% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Merlot. Barrel aged 22 months in 100% new French oak."
Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 98 points and 'Top 100 Cellar Selections 2012 (#7)' by Wine Enthusiast: "A bold, muscular, striking wine with nerves of steel, this offers a dense, demanding array of black fruit threaded with veins of espresso, smoke, tar, tobacco and iron. As it bursts with exotic barrel flavor, the fruit seems a bit buried, but time after time these wines unfold over the course of decades into glorious maturity. These are arguably the most long-lived and cellarworthy wines in Washington--if not in the entire country."
