Producer notes: "Back by popular demand is the latest version of multi-vintage Impromp2. This is a blend of wine from the cellar of Arns Estate. The wine is made from selections across clones and vintages 2005 - 2009. These are special wines that were not blended with the Arns Estate Cabernet. These small lots were intentionally set aside for this special blend because of their unique character and flavors. The rich older vintages along with the vibrant new vintages offer a great experience for the palate. Flavor characteristics of chocolate, cherries, anise, mulberry, black raspberries adds complexity and charm to this blend you can experience now or cellar for a later enjoyment. 100 cases produced."

Producer notes: "The honey for this specialty dessert-style wine is produced in hives throughout Northern California. It is composed of a blend of three types of honey: alfalfa, sage and orange blossom. Each type brings a unique quality to the blend and contributes to the overall complexity of the Mead. Alfalfa is neutral in flavor but yields a dark, amber color. The orange blossom brings a floral bouquet to the nose of the wine. Sage brings subtle nuances into the blend. This wine is produced utilizing fresh honey without the addition of artificial flavorings, concentrates or artificial colorings. The use of pure, raw honey contributes to the intense, fresh flavors of this natural product. Although this wine exhibits richness similar to a fine liquor, this dessert-style beverage contains only 11% alcohol. This wine should be consumed shortly after purchase to enjoy its natural and rich honey flavor. The mead can be enjoyed in one of two ways, either chilled or heated with spices to create a delicious wintry drink."

Producer notes: "Merlot 53%, Cabernet Franc 26%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Petit Verdot 1%. The NV09 consists primarily of the excellent 2009 vintage (57%; hence the '09') complemented with a significant proportion of the 2008 vintage (43%). This has everything you want in a red wine: smooth entry, mouth filling, sits gently and lightly on the palate, just enough mouthwatering tannins to cleanse the palate. Aromas of black cherries, red cherries, cigar box. Core of red fruit carries through from beginning to end. Nicely refined. Nothing sticks out."

87 points Wine Enthusiast: "Light pink and attractively priced, this has light strawberry aromas and more substantial cherry and strawberry in the mouth. Gruet has done a fine job managing the bubbles in this wine so that it tickles the tongue more than overwhelms it."

Producer notes: "The subtle fruity aromas and the freshness of the Demi-Sec drives the character of this light bodied, semi-dry sparkling wine. The palate carries through with a creamy sensation and vivid flavor of green apples, ripe pears, pineapple and a hint of mineral. It is delicate, lively and elegant! Winemaker's Note: Toasty bouquet, light and elegant with good acidity, exotic fruit flavors. A dessert wine for those with a sweet taste!"

From the Meyer Family, founders of Silver Oak Winery. Producer notes: "Made in the traditional solera method, Meyer Family Port is unique among fortified wines produced in California. This rich, complex Port is a blend of several vintages of old-vine Zinfandel that average eight years of age at release. The vines are farmed in the rolling hills of California’s Lodi appellation. On the nose, the Meyer Family Port displays aromas of baked fruit and cooking spice, along with warm notes of alembic Zinfandel brandy. Rich and round on the palate, its lush flavors of sweet cassis and brandied cherries are framed by integrated oak and fine acidity. This delicious Port has a long, concentrated finish and pairs beautifully with artisanal blue cheeses, intense chocolate desserts, or a good cigar."

91 points Wine Spectator: "Sleek and impeccably focused and balanced, with floral apple, cinnamon and anise aromas and crisp yet supple lemon tart, cherry and spicy hazelnut flavors. Drink now through 2015... (12/15/12)"
91 points and 'Editors' Choice,' Wine Enthusiast: "This blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir is one of the best sparkling wines you’ll find at this price. It’s stylishly dry and fancy, with yeasty lime, strawberry and vanilla flavors. (Dec 2012)"
'Top 100 Wine of 2008' San Francisco Chronicle: "It's still hard to believe that this Mendocino offshoot of the Champagne house delivers so much for the money. This widely available bottling is fresh and leesy, with green apple and crushed rock aromas. Buoyant acidity and squeezed orange flavors mix with wild berry, an ever-present edge and a refined bead. Winemaker Arnaud Weyrich uses just a touch of malolactic fermentation, which adds a welcome bit of extra body."
'Good Value' and 90 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "Dollar for dollar, Roederer Estate ranks among California's best sparkling wines, and, if not an extravagant wine or one that competes with those that have had years and years en tirage, this one is a composed, keenly balanced and entirely classy effort. Its subtle yeasty complexities and its fine, wonderfully persistent mousse are uncommon at the price, and, while a complete and thoroughly enjoyable wine at the moment, it is one that should last and last in the cellar. (Nov 2012)"
90 points Wine News: "Pale gold hue with a driving bead and a halo-like mousse. Seashore aromas laced with sweet vanilla and chalk. Tart grapefruit and pear flavors with notes of banana peel, chalk and lively acidity. Classic dry, brut style with a steely-crisp finish. (Sep/Oct/Nov 2009)"
Wall Street Journal: "Although it's made in the Anderson Valley of Mendocino, this California sparkling wine might well be mistaken for Champagne. Roederer Estate was, in fact, founded by one of the greatest Champagne houses in France, Louis Roederer, some 30 years ago, and the style of the wines is similarly rich, almost yeasty and tremendously elegant. (5/15/10)"

91 points Wine News: "Deep salmon hue. Pretty nose with caramel, brown sugar and baked apple scents. Flavors of mocha and caramel with strawberry hints. Tart close with red fruit highlights and the backing of fresh acidity. (Dec 2007/Jan 2008)"
'Editors' Choice' and 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$27 list] A beautiful rosé sparkling wine, one that shows loads of finesse and elegance. But the final word is its deliciousness. Really captivates with subtle raspberry, toast, vanilla and yeasty brioche flavors that finish so crisp and clean. (Dec 2010)"
90 points Robert Parker: "Even better, the Non-Vintage Mirabelle Brut Rose (58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir) exhibits a light to medium pink color as well as abundant aromas of kir, medium body, good vibrancy and a crisp, zesty, dry finish. These cuvees are meant to be drunk upon release as there is no point in aging them. (12/23/2010)"

Producer notes: "Blend: Evolution is a blend of nine white varietals, including Pinot Gris, Muller Thurgau, White Riesling, Semillon, Muscat Canelli, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sylvaner. The grapes come together and create a flavor greater than the sum of its parts. very new bottling has its own subtle and fresh personality. The 9 grapes tie together perfectly, creating a smooth, layered white wine that can hold its own or stand up to just about any food pairing you dare to serve it with. It is extraordinarily food-friendly, from light salads to the hottest fusion-style cuisine. Regarding the question we're most often asked: 'Were you trying to do this or did your leftovers happen to work well together?' We'll let the success of Evolution speak for itself." Robert Parker: "The 'everything but the kitchen sink' blend of multiple grapes (Syrah, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Barbera, Carignan, Pinot Noir and probably a white grape or two), the non-vintage Pleiades is a gorgeous bistro-styled red offering notes of Mediterranean herbs and sea breezes intermixed with sweet berries, earth, and spice. Elegant, broad, and soft, it is a terrific example of what a fine winemaker with a vision can create. Drink this complex, tasty effort over the next several years."
