88 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2010 Sin Zin is about as good a bottle of California wine as readers will find for the money. Juicy, rich and varietally expressive, the 2010 impresses for its balance, especially at this price point. Juicy red cherries, tobacco, flowers and mint linger on the expressive, layered finish. This is a terrific effort for a vintage that was very, very hard for Zinfandel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015. (Apr 2013)"
Producer notes: "The 2010 includes a small amount of Petite Sirah to broaden the mouthfeel on the wine and add a little more dark fruit to the palate. There are aromas of raspberry, plum, black cherry, and citrus. In the glass there are flavors of plum, cranberry, black cherry, and classic spicy black pepper. The 2010 is a restrained vintage and will reward those with the patience to cellar a few bottles. 98.5% Zinfandel, 1.5% Petite Sirah. Alcohol 14.7%."

Orin Swift’s cult-like fame started almost immediately several years back with the release of a wine called The Prisoner. Since its inception, this outrageously decadent red with the cool label has perennially been among our most requested wines. The fruit, a 'field blend' reminiscent of the old days in Napa when multiple varieties grew side by side in vineyards, has been carefully selected only from top vineyards in Napa, such as Tofanelli, Morisoli, Page Nord, Marston and David Fulton. Highly Recommended!
90 points Wine Spectator: "Not the distinctive Zin statement this once was, but still a bold, rich red blend that's jammed with flavor. Aromas of blackberry and caramel lead to ripe plum, licorice and spicy vanilla flavors. Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Charbono and Grenache. Drink now through 2017. (6/15/12)"
Producer notes: "44% Zinfandel, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah, 9% Petite Sirah, 2% Charbono, 1% Grenache. Dark red, almost garnet hue with bright red on the rim. Ripe cherry and cedar on the nose with hints of dried rose petal and sweet oak. Lovely entry that leads into a fat and savory mid palate. Ripe fig and black currant dominate the finish with a breadth of soft, well integrated tannins."

90 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good medium-deep red. Liqueur-like red berries, pepper, mocha and sexy oak notes of sandalwood and cinnamon on the nose; this reminded me of Chateauneuf du Pape. Lush, ripe red berry flavors firmed by harmonious acidity. Still a bit youthfully tight, with a saline nuance. But this is suave, fresh and serious, and not overly sweet. Firmly structured, adult zinfandel for drinking over the next several years. (May/Jun 2005)"
