89 points Wine & Spirits: "[$20 list] Ethereal this is not -- as if campfires and brine were woven into its dark sour-cherry fruit. It has a pleasantly warming, sanguine quality that feels rich, and destined for grilled game birds. (Jun 2013)"
Producer notes: "2011 was an El Nino year which resulted in above average rainfall in Southern San Luis Obispo County. Though we were spared the late spring frost that affected other areas, fruit set was reduced by wet spring conditions and yields were about 30% below average. One of the coolest summers on record resulted in long hang time and grapes with high natural acidity. The resulting wines balance refreshing acidity with concentrated flavors due to the low yields. This pinot noir balances fruity aromas of cherry and raspberry, with savory hints of earth and mineral. This medium bodied wine has flavors of dark fruit and spice box followed by a long, smooth finish. Enjoy with salmon or pork tenderloin. Barrel aged 10 months in 20% new French oak."

86 points Wine Enthusiast: "This Chardonnay is rich and balanced, with brisk acidity and deep, long flavors of limes, tangerines and Meyer lemons. (Apr 2013)"
Producer notes: "We love Chardonnay for its pure lemon and grapefruit aromas that remind us of summer. In 2011, a very chilly year throughout California, acid levels were naturally quite high. For the very first time we allowed a small percentage (4%) to undergo malolactic fermentation. This together with some extended sur lies aging imparted a delightful baked custard bouquet and added a creamy richness on the palate. Our Unoaked Chardonnay tastes bright and tangy with lemon and nectarine fruit flavors that expand on the finish. Crisp, clean and beautifully styled to pair with food. Eat oysters and drink Naked often!!"

89 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(65% zinfandel, 20% petite sirah, 9% carignane, 3% mataro, 2% alicante bouschet and 1% grenache): Opaque ruby. Black raspberry, anise, vanilla and musky herbs on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Juicy and open-knit, offering lively red and dark berry flavors and a deeper note of black cardamom. Supple tannins give shape to a sweet, nicely persistent finish. I'd drink this approachable wine in its youth, for the fruit. (May/Jun 2013)"
Producer notes: "65% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 9% Carignane, 3% Mataro, 2% Alicante Bouchet, 1% Grenache. Aromas of briar fruit, dried herbs, clay earth, and sweet oak. Fresh raspberry and cherry flavors together with savory oak spice. Medium bodied with moderate acidity, round tannins, and a lively finish. Alcohol 13.8%."

Producer notes: "Strikingly fruit-forward. Dark red in color with a ruby hue. Bursting aromas of ripe cranberries, blackberries and crushed raspberries. Nuances of clove and mint add character and dimension to the ripe fruit flavors. Beautiful acidity intertwined with richness seamlessly create an expressive and dense mid-palate. Vanilla and plum flavors round out an unforgettable finish. 93% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Syrah. Alcohol 15.9%."
Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 89 points by California Grapevine: "Dark purplish ruby; attractive, briary, peppery, blackberry fruit aroma with a hint of clove and oaky overtones; full body; big, rich, jammy, dark berry fruit flavors with a trace of residual sugar and a layer of sweet oak that provides a full, rich, creamy mouthfeel; medium-full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Stylistic. Highly recommended. 15.9% alcohol; blended with 6% Petite Sirah; released April 2012."

92 points Wine Spectator: "An excellent wine from a challenging vintage, with aromas of black cherry and spice opening to rich wild berry, mineral and toasty sage flavors that wrap around a concentrated core of acidity and tannins. Best from 2015 through 2021. (6/30/13)"
90 points and 'Good Value,' Connoisseurs' Guide: "By every report and what we have seen in early tastings, 2011 is an uneven vintage, especially as far as red wines are concerned. This extremely well-made working proves that, as always, very good wines await those willing to search, and it hits the varietal mark smartly. It is precise in its focus on ripe berries and briary spice, and it is particularly well-balanced with fine energy and a long, very firm finish. It is still on the tight side and we would argue against hasty drinking, but it is an easy-odds bet to grow and improve for another three to five years. (Jan 2013)"
90 points California Grapevine: "Medium to medium-dark ruby; attractive, moderately intense, spicy, briary, raspberry and wild berry fruit aroma with hints of black pepper, vanilla, and toasty oak; full body; forward, rich, plush, briary, red and black fruit flavors; medium-full to full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Easy and enjoyable to drink now. Very highly recommended. 14.8% alcohol; blended
with 10% Petite Sirah; released October 2012. (Feb 2013)"
Producer notes: "Spicy, lush black fruit of Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavors, along with structure, of cooler Dry Creek Valley. Balanced and elegantly structured."

Producer notes: "The fruit for the Estate is sourced from throughout Shea Vineyard. The nose offers black cherry and the rich earthiness of forest floor, accented with violet floral notes. The palate is rich with additional hints of cocoa, supple fine grain tannins and a long, elegant finish. Barrel aged in French oak (48% new). Alcohol 13.0%."
Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 91 points by both Wine Spectator and International Wine Cellar, which wrote: "Bright ruby-red. Lively, spice-accented aromas of red berries, cherry, rose and cola. Sappy and precise, offering vibrant raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of allspice. Finishes with firm grip and sharply focused cherry and Asian spice qualities. This wine's tension suggests that it will reward patience."
