Light yellow color. Elegant nose of sweet field flowers: chamomile, elderflower, iris. Pleasant on the palate with sweet almond on the finish.
Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 90 points by International Wine Cellar: "(12% alcohol) Bright straw-green. Floral, high-pitched aromas of stone fruits and fresh herbs on the clean, enticing nose. Shows very good balance and energy to its flavors of lemon icing, green apple, pear and herbs. Richer on the palate than I expected, with lovely concentration and length; this is a very serious entry-level Soave and one of the best versions from Inama in years. Very well done."

Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 90 points by both International Wine Cellar and Wine Advocate, which wrote: "The 2010 Pinot Grigio emerges from the glass with white peaches, flowers and crushed rocks. This is an especially clean, pointed style of Pinot Grigio that captures the style of the year. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014."
Producer notes: "It has an intense straw-yellow color with a light nuance of antique rose. Its aroma is intense, full and fruity, with excellent persistence. Its taste is dry, velvety, and particularly well-orchestrated for its full body. Wonderful with fish soups, chargrilled seafood and various dishes based on field mushrooms and porcini mushrooms. This wine is wonderful with squid ink lasagnette pasta and crayfish sauce."

Producer notes: "Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir). Fine ruby red color. Aroma is heady, well-orchestrated and slightly herbaceous. The Pinot Nero variety stands out with elegant finesse. Its taste is delicate, elegant, and full-bodied. Pair it with central European dishes and with oven-baked fish dishes. Its delicacy will pair well with white truffle dishes. Alcohol 13%."
Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 92 points by Wine Advocate: "Jermann’s 2009 Red Angel opens with dark, mysterious hints of tobacco, dark cherries, earthiness and incense. The wine fleshes out nicely on the mid-palate and finish as it continues to blossom with air. In this vintage the finish is especially round and polished. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019."

Producer notes: "70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Molinara. Deep ruby red colour. Cherries and intriguing aromas of mild spices on the nose. Bright and well rounded at the same time on the palate; baked cherry and plum flavours with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Excellent balance between the supporting acidity and soft tannins. Full bodied finish with delightful hints of cocoa. Alcohol 13.3%."
Not yet reviewed; 2006 vintage rated 88 points by Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "Masi’s 2006 Campofiorin reveals a soft, floral expression of red fruits framed by silky tannins. This medium-bodied, restrained wine offers lovely balance. Campofiorin is essentially a Valpolicella made in the ripasso style which involves a secondary fermentation on the skins and stems of the estate’s Amarone. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012."

Producer notes: "Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. Ripasso is a traditional technique that promotes a second fermentation through the wine’s contact with warm dried grapes skins from which Amarone has been pressed for seven days. With this practice Ripasso is a wine with a good alcoholic content and a great concentration of sugar, glycerine and aromas. The wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months and for 6 months in bottle. The color is intense and ruby red. The wine has a complex bouquet, withl scents of cherries and a background of chocolate. On the palate it is harmonious and balanced, the aftertaste highly persistent and clean."

Bastianich & Lynch (Vino Italiano Buying Guide): "Giuseppe Quintarelli is an elder statesman in the Valpolicella zone, and a mythic figure among winemakers and consumers alike. His wines... are unadorned expressions of old-vine fruit from high-altitude vineyards outside Negrar... (1971 rated 4 stars for Valpolicella: 'a great all-around year for Italy')"

The Ca’ del Merlo (meaning "house of the blackbird") is a single-vineyard Valpolicella. As the grapes for this wine derive exclusively from one site, it expresses the influences of a specific terroir, yet represents the composition and vinification method (ripasso) utilized in the crafting of Quintarelli’s other Valpolicellas.
Bastianich & Lynch (Vino Italiano Buying Guide): "Giuseppe Quintarelli is an elder statesman in the Valpolicella zone, and a mythic figure among winemakers and consumers alike. His wines... are unadorned expressions of old-vine fruit from high-altitude vineyards outside Negrar. (2008)"
