Eszterbauer's "Tüke" Bikavér is a fine example of a modern, well-made 'Bullsblood'. Typical for a Bikavér from Szekszard there is a fair amount of Kekfrankos and Kadarka in the cuvee. Spicy and deep, yet easy to drink with only 14% Alcohol this wine pairs well with BBQ meats, burgers, and spaghetti Bolognese.

'Best Buy', Wine & Spirits: "Crisp with green herb and light floral notes, this is a light, simple welschriesling. Sip it with appetizers... (Apr 2011)"
This 2009 Olaszrizling (aka Welschriesling or Italian Riesling) comes from vines located around the villages of Vokany and Nagyharsany on bound loam soils in the DHC - Villány. The vines are an average of 25 years of age. The wine is lemony clean and hydrating, nothing to fuss over, just to enjoy. Serve with salted nuts as a cocktail or with arugula salad and cold chicken for a light meal.

The fruit for this Hungarian Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) comes from a number of different sites. This is a crazy value for a wine so reflective of Eger’s soil and climate. Do not confuse these wines with the delicately perfumed Pfneiszl Kékfrankos along the Austrian border. This blend is brooding, pungent, and still very much in its youth despite being 5 years old. Benefitting with a little air to awaken the aromatics, this is a perfect introduction to the limestone based Kékfrankos that has made Eger one of the most famous red wine regions in Hungary. Alcohol 13.5%.

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$20/375ml list] For $20, this bargain basement Tokaji is pretty unbelievable. Abundantly floral and honeyed on the nose, it’s deeply concentrated on the palate, with layers of luscious figs and peaches, accented by lanolin and beeswax. Creamy and unctuous on the tongue, yet clean and fresh on the finish, with orange-inflected acidity that lingers. Alcohol 9.5%. (May 2012)"
90 points Wine Spectator: "[$20/375ml list] A medium-sweet, racy white, offering dried apricot, candied orange peel and grapefruit notes. Juicy acidity keeps the finish moving, with hints of anise and wild flowers. Drink now through 2018. 1,007 cases made. (2/29/12)"
90 points Wine & Spirits: "[$20 list] A fresh take on Tokaji, this is vivid with sweet tangerine flavor and furmint’s electric acidity. Creamy and sweet yet light in feel, it’s balanced for fresh fruit or light desserts, like figs split open and stuffed with goat cheese. It’s especially impressive for a vintage marked by heavy October rains. (Dec 2012)"
