Eszterbauer's "Tüke" Bikavér is a fine example of a modern, well-made 'Bullsblood'. Typical for a Bikavér from Szekszard there is a fair amount of Kekfrankos and Kadarka in the cuvee. Spicy and deep, yet easy to drink with only 14% Alcohol this wine pairs well with BBQ meats, burgers, and spaghetti Bolognese.

'Best Buy', Wine & Spirits: "Crisp with green herb and light floral notes, this is a light, simple welschriesling. Sip it with appetizers... (Apr 2011)"
This 2009 Olaszrizling (aka Welschriesling or Italian Riesling) comes from vines located around the villages of Vokany and Nagyharsany on bound loam soils in the DHC - Villány. The vines are an average of 25 years of age. The wine is lemony clean and hydrating, nothing to fuss over, just to enjoy. Serve with salted nuts as a cocktail or with arugula salad and cold chicken for a light meal.

A light, refreshing wine, with pleasant aromas of spring. A native Hungarian variety, Cserszegi Füszeres exhibits a fragrance similar to that of the Muscat grape and the gentle spiciness of a Gewürztraminer.
This unpronounceable grape has a lovely grapey, floral/aromatic nose and a dry palate that shows a slightly spicy edge. Fresh, crisp, acidic, and very tasty. Pairs well with salads, light seafood, and spicy Asian cuisine.

The fruit for this Hungarian Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) comes from a number of different sites. This is a crazy value for a wine so reflective of Eger’s soil and climate. Do not confuse these wines with the delicately perfumed Pfneiszl Kékfrankos along the Austrian border. This blend is brooding, pungent, and still very much in its youth despite being 5 years old. Benefitting with a little air to awaken the aromatics, this is a perfect introduction to the limestone based Kékfrankos that has made Eger one of the most famous red wine regions in Hungary. Alcohol 13.5%.

Wine Enthusiast: "[$13 list] White flower and pink bubblegum notes lend a slightly confected tone to this semisweet Hungarian sparkling wine, but it’s an undeniably drinkable, peach-flavored sip, with sharp effervescence and a tasty sugar-cookie finish. (Dec 2012)"
Importer notes: "Fortuna is a sweet sparkling blend of Muscat Lunel, Muscat Ottonel, Irsai Olivér, and Pearl of Csaba. Combined, these four extremely aromatic varieties create a symphonic array of spice, blossom and tropical fruit one would expect from Moscato D’Asti but with twice the effervescence, spice, and an acidity that makes it decidedly Hungarian. Elegant, beautiful golden in color, and surprisingly light considering the residual sugar, expect sweet grapefruit, gardenia, lime and Brioche flavors. This is a go-to sparkling when fruit is baked with virtually any kind of dough or cream -- think Crostatas, Tarts, Zabaglione, dumplings and pies. If you’re roasting pears, peaches, apricots or plums, please drink this wine. Alcohol 7.0%. Residual sugar: 70 g/l."
