Amiot-Servelle produces fruity wines in which balance and elegance prevail, and this 2010 vintage is no exception. Fresh and nicely aromatic. Expressive aromas of white flowers, brioche, hazelnut and a hint of vanilla. Nice amplitude in the mouth, with a lovely intensity of white flowers, hazelnut, pear and vanilla. Elegant and refined, this Bourgogne blanc offers a harmonious balance, a hint of minerality and a very pleasant finish.

88 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "Bacheler’s 2009 Bourgogne Aligote is a rich, generous wine with attractive up-front richness and fine balance. Clean, saline notes inform the bracing finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012+. (Sep 2011)"

88+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Perrières bottling is usually my favorite of these three Bourgogne from Domaine Bize, and this is true by a very small margin in 2008. The terroir here is really excellent for Bourgogne, and this soil complexity translates beautifully into the finished wine in ’08. The nose is a terrific blend of pear, lemon, stony minerality and a garden full of spring flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and seriously complex, with fine mid-palate depth, snappy acids and excellent focus on the long, soil-driven finish. Either the Champlains or the Perrières should be on the short shopping list of those looking for great white Burgundy complexity at a bargain price. 2010-2020. (Nov/Dec 2009)"
87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(100% cask). Soft wood and SO2 notes do not materially interfere with the clarity of the otherwise fresh and complex floral, citrus and light mineral aromas that give way to intense and beautifully detailed flavors that deliver a cuts-like-a-knife finish and plenty of underlying tension. Terrific quality at this level plus it will age. Comments: Outstanding Top value. Drink: 2013+. (Jun 2010)"

Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 88 points by Fine Wine Review: "We start with the Bourgogne-Aligoté, bottled just prior to harvest. Yields were just 35 hl/ha -- remarkably low for a regional wine in this vintage. Vines are more than 80 years old and mostly raisin doré, the old strain of Aligoté that generally produces superior results. The wine is round and ripe with excellent minerality, silky in texture, long and pure with finesse that is unusual in Aligoté."

Importer notes: "Les Crenilles dates to 1802 and is found in Pommard. Now, as there is no white wine allowed with the name Pommard under the appellation controlée rules, you have here a one of a kind beauty. Pommard's soil has a very high percentage of active limestone making it remarkably similar to the clays found in the Cote de Nuits. The wine is beautiful in the glass- golden yellow, generous in glycerin, yet totally dry fermented. No malolactic keeps that coveted acidity in full force. No oak here, just a gorgeous song of minerality accompanied by whispers of rich citrus and fresh almonds and hazelnut."

Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is sufficiently reduced that the nose is not easily evaluated save for the presence of a touch of wood toast but the middle weight flavors also possess an attractive texture with good intensity before culminating in a linear finish that is, in the context of the vintage, relatively dry. Drink: 2011+. (Oct 2010)"
