87+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2008 Chambolle AC is quite good and surprisingly, my favorite wine in this range. The nose offers up classic Chambolle notes of red and black cherries, dark chocolate, lovely soil tones, woodsmoke and a judicious touch of new wood. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and tangy, with solid complexity and good length and grip. A very respectable bottle of Chambolle villages. 2014-2030. (Mar/Apr 2010)"
Allen Meadows (Burghound): "his is also extremely fresh and airy with a pretty mélange of red and blue pinot fruit with similar floral notes that merge into vibrant, clean and pure middle weight flavors that are supported by mildly edgy structural elements on the short and slightly dry finish. Drink: 2013+. (Jan 2011)"

88 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A lightly spiced nose of red and blue pinot fruit has its expressiveness reduced by noticeable reduction so be sure to decant this if you're going to try one young. The lacy, pure and round mineral-inflected flavors are forward and very supple, all wrapped in a dusty, delicious and mouth coating finish. This notably pretty effort is very Chambollesque in character. Drink: 2017+. (Apr 2013)"
Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy): "This domaine is run by Christian Amiot (one of the sons of Pierre Amiot from Morey-St-Denis) who is married to Elisabeth Servelle, daughter of Bernard Servelle-Tachot... The domaine has been farmed organically from 2003, with AB certification from the 2008 vintage. The wines taste fresh and modern although there is no great reliance on oak--20 per cent new wood is used for the village wine, and up to 50 per cent for the two top premiers crus... (2010)"
Clive Coates (The Wines of Burgundy): "Quality has improved... The wines now are very good, indeed. (2008)"

88-89 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Bachelet’s 2008 Bourgogne smells of mace, holly berry, and sour cherry that migrate to a bright yet delightfully silken-textured palate. Vivacious and lip-smacking in its finishing interchange of fruit with saline and chalky mineral notes, this can be strongly recommended... (Jun 2010)"

87 points Wine Spectator: "[$23 list] This red tastes like cherry pie, complete with the pastry, plus light spice flavors lingering on the finish. Drink now through 2014. (6/15/11)"
86 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A moderately exotic fruit suffused nose also evidences hints of melon and straw that lead to rich and fresh flavors that possess good volume and vibrancy on the balanced and delicious finish where a touch of citrus surfaces. This is a very solid if rather forward effort for what it is. Drink: 2012+. (Feb 2011)"
84-88 points Fine Wine Review: "The Bourgogne, reserve is from Fixin, Marsannay, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Chorey-les-Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune, and Marsannay. About 25% new wood on this wine. The red fruit aromas are followed by dark fruit flavors in the mouth, a smooth texture, and tannins that, although smooth, are present. (Issue #130; 2011)"

88-89 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2010 Beaune (from tank) is pretty and delicate. Dried red cherries, mint, tobacco and licorice flow from this soft, perfumed Burgundy. There is a fleeting, ethereal quality to the Beaune that suggests it should be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. (Feb 2012)"
86-88 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A very pretty red berry fruit nose also evidences hints of soil and spice nuances. The supple, round and rather forward light to barely middle weight flavors possess good punch on the solidly persistent and well-balanced finish. This is delicious if on the lighter side. Drink: 2015+. (Apr 2012)"

87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "While not as complex this resembles the Clos de Vougeot in the sense that it has a distinct animale character to the pungently earthy wild dark berry fruit suffused nose. Where this differs materially is that there isn't the size, weight and richness but that would be expected given that the Clos de Vougeot is a grand cru. There is reasonably good complexity and while not a great example of the genre, this is correct with fine intensity and length. Drink: 2016+. (Apr 2013)"
Producer notes: "Garnet in color, the wine opens to an exuberant bouquet of black berry fruits with a subtle vegetal flavor, due in part to selected whole-cluster fermentation. Very perfumed, the wine is structured and well-balanced, with a nice acidity and silky tannins. Aromatic and intense finish."

88+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I tasted 1998 Gaunoux Beaune a couple of years ago as part of my feature on the wines from this commune, and at that time I thought that this wine was poised on a knife edge between adequate and inadequate ripeness, with the possibility that the wine would blossom into a sweet and suave middleweight or forever retain its potentially green edge. At that time I commented that it will be interesting to follow this wine and see how it resolves. A couple of years on the wine has blossomed very nicely and has shaken off its potential underripe character and offers up a lovely bouquet of red berries, cherries, cocoa, gamebirds, woodsmoke, soil and a distinct topnote of roses. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and complex, with still a bit of tannin to resolve, but lovely length and grip on the complex finish. A classy wine that has turned out very well indeed. 2012- 2030+. (Jan/Feb 2009)"

87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An almost invisible touch of wood frames agreeably fresh and ripe liqueur of red raspberry nose that leads to solidly well-concentrated and delicious flavors that possess unusually good energy in the context of the vintage, all wrapped in a complex and lingering finish. This is really quite fine for what it is and recommended. Comments: Outstanding. Drink: 2014+. (Apr 2012)"
87 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 Bourgogne rouge is a very good and soil-driven example of the vintage and its appellation. The very pretty nose offers up scents of cherries, orange zest, gamebirds and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and transparent, with a touch of tannin, good focus and very good length and grip on the finish. Good juice that will drink quite well from release, but will also keep nicely for several years. 2013-2020+? (Nov/Dec 2012)"

86-88 points and 'Outstanding Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines in Meursault). A ripe and solidly complex nose offers up notes of plum, violet, earth and fresh red berry fruit aromas. There is the same fine complexity to the delicious and tension-filled flavors that do possess mildly rustic tannins but overall this is really very good. Worth considering for a house red. Drink: 2014+. (Apr 2012)"
86-87 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2010 Bourgogne Rouge wafts from the glass with sweet red berries, flowers and spices. It shows an attractive freshness and brightness that will allow it to drink for a handful of years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. (Feb 2012)"

89 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good medium red. Spicy raspberry and a sweet hint of chocolate on the nose. Spicy and tight, with lovely acid cut and energy to the crunchy red fruit flavors. Finishes with firm but ripe tannins and good length. Lafon notes that a good portion of these vines were replanted in 1986, and that the wine has improved in the last five years. He's also doing less punching down of the cap to avoid getting rough tannins. A very good showing. (Sep/Oct 2010)"

88 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2009 Bourgogne is a beautiful, harmonious wine bursting with juicy red fruit. The soft, engaging personality makes this an excellent choice for drinking over the next few years. This is declassified fruit from the Santenay 1er Cru La Comme and a 1er Cru fruit from St. Aubin. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. Benjamin Leroux is one of Burgundy’s most promising young winemakers. Leroux is best known for the wines he makes at Comte Armand, one of the reference-point properties in the Cote de Beaune. Since 2007 Leroux has made wines under his own label using a micro-negociant model that has become increasingly popular in Burgundy. Leroux sources fruit from some of Burgundy’s top sites and bottles an eye-popping 27 different wines, most in 2-3 barrel lots... (May 2011)"
'Outstanding Top value' and 87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(Leroux indicated that 95% of this was from a blend of Santenay 1ers). Mild reduction doesn't completely hide the earthy and ripe dark berry fruit aromas but I would definitely recommend decanting this for 20 minutes or so first. The rich and delicious flavors are agreeable already and there is impressive depth and length for a wine at this level though it's not hard to understand why. Drink: 2012+. (May 2011)"

87 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An attractively layered nose offers up notes of fresh red berries, plum, black pepper and plenty of earth character. There is good richness to the precise and vibrant flavors that culminate in a mildly rustic and somewhat dry finish that cuts the persistence short. There is noticeable gas in this wine and I would suggest decanting it first as the dryness may very well be due to the CO2 than any lack of phenolic maturity, especially in a vintage like 2010. Drink: 2015+. (Apr 2012)"

87-89 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good deep red with ruby tones. The nose shows an almost roasted aspect to the black cherry aroma. A dense, fat fruit bomb on the palate, with ripe acidity and strong phenolics framing the black cherry and licorice flavors. Just a bit liqueur-like on the slightly aggressive finish. (Jan/Feb 2011)"
88+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Marsannay villages from the Domaine Roty is excellent in 2009, offering up a lovely blend of the succulent fruit of the vintage and the lovely soil tones of this underrated commune. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a lovely mix of black cherries, grilled meat, a touch of coffee bean, fine soil tones and a touch of cedary wood. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and quite minerally, with a good core, tangy acids, moderate tannins and impressive length and grip on the focused finish. A lovely bottle of Marsannay. 2015-2025+. (Jun 2012)"

88 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Moderate wood still allows the ripe aromas of black cherry, cassis and a hint of underbrush to show through. There is a lovely vibrancy to the cool and delicious flavors that possess solid depth and length in the context of the appellation. This sensual, supple Bourgogne shows gorgeous mid-palate density and a supple personality best suited to near-term enjoyment. There is no shortage of pleasure here. The Bourgogne is made from parcels in Vosne-Romanee and Chambolle-Musigny. Tasted from tank. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. (May 2011)"
