Producer notes: "From vines averaging 50 years of age. The grapes for this wine come from southeast facing plots at the foot of the chapel perched on the hill above the village of Fleurie. They are vinified in whole bunches. After vatting lasting 8 to 9 days comes pneumatic pressing, then maturing in vats for 6 months. A refined aromatic wine in a carmine robe, it opens out to aromas of very ripe black-skinned fruit. Food pairing: country-style pâté, poultry, squab, leg of lamb, fresh goat's cheese."

88-89 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "From tank, Descombes’s 2010 Brouilly -- from a parcel of vines planted in 1993 -- allies fresh red raspberry and Maine blueberry for a sappy, bright, tart, energetic, and refreshing performance that emphasizes the white wine-like aspect of its vintage. At the same time, there is a palpable sense of extract, even of density, all of which suggest why their author prefers to give his wines longer elevage and points toward the potential for several years’ bottle interest. (Aug 2011)"

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$23 list] This shows fine balance between its fragrant red fruits and firm tannins. It is a testament to how structured a Fleurie can be, with its acidity cutting through the firm structure. This is for aging for four years, when it will become round, with a rich texture. Alcohol 13%. (Mar 2013)"
Producer notes: "Deep ruby color, with sweet fruit and spice aromas, lingering tannins. Vine age: 45 years average. Soils: granitic and sand-granitic. Vinification: semi-carbonic maceration, lasting from 12 to 16 days. First racking before the malolactic fermentation."

91 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Vivid ruby. Raspberry, cherry, licorice and violet on the assertively perfumed nose and in the mouth. Juicy and precise, with very good depth, energy and building spiciness. Lingers with impressive tenacity, showing finishing notes of spices and flowers. I find this year's bottling of this wine far more vibrant and incisive than its '09 sibling. (Apr 2012)"
89-91 points and 'Outstanding Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A reduced nose hides the nuance but it's clear that the underlying fruit is ripe. There is good richness to the complex and vibrant flavors that are underpinned by phenolically mature structural elements and fine length. This firmly structured example displays the classic size, weight and power of a fine Moulin-à-Vent. Drink: 2017+. (Jan 2012)"
88-90 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "[$35 list] The 2010 Moulin-a-Vent Vieilles Vignes, from 60 to 80 year-old vines, possesses lovely depth and fleshiness in its dark red fruit. Attractive spiced notes wrap around the radiant finish. This is a terrific showing. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. (Feb 2012)"

Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 88 points by Fine Wine Review and Wine Advocate, which wrote: "The Terre Dorees 2009 Beaujolais Chardonnay Classic -- Brun's regular Beaujolais blanc bottling, but which is now prominently labeled 'classic' -- is full of pure, ripe Persian melon and apple; soft and rich... and finishes simply but with sappy, juicy profusion. I would plan on enjoying it over the coming year."

89 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "Vivid red. High-pitched red berry and floral scents are complicated by notes of fresh rose and lavender, with a touch of licorice coming up with air. Taut and focused, offering tangy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that pick up sweetness with air. Silky tannins add grip to the lively, linear finish. (Apr 2012)"
88 points David Schildkinecht (Wine Advocate): "[$23 list] Villa Ponciago’s 2010 Fleurie La Reserve is scented with fresh blackberry and ripe tomato along with a whiff of chamomile. Firm in feel, but brightly juicy and expansive on the palate it finishes with impressive tenacity and vivacity, featuring the tart and invigoratingly biting sense of berry seeds. I would expect this to be worth following for 4-6 years, though generosity and charm are not likely part of its metier. (Aug 2011)"
