94 points Wine Spectator: "A dark, brooding and dense wine, delivering dried cherry, carpaccio and spice flavors, which linger on the broad finish. Has layers and layers of depth, all balled up and waiting to open with time. Best from 2014 through 2020. 1,200 cases made. (4/30/12)"
94 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(sourced from vines that are reportedly 50 to 130 years old; 100% new oak, 95% of it French): Dark purple. Flamboyant aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, incense, vanilla and Indian spices. Concentrated, penetrating and densely packed, with strikingly concentrated dark fruit flavors that show liqueur-like intensity. Finishes very long, with firm but harmonious tannins and superb persistence. (Jul/Aug 2012)"
92 points James Suckling: "Hung meat, iodine and spice on the nose. Focused in the mouth with judicious use of oak. A compact wine of real force, yet never falls to the wayside of excess, despite its obvious power. Don't know how much I could drink, but the wine is balanced. Drink now and over the next five years. (11/22/11)"
Producer notes: "Dark purple with youthful hues on release, the nose is a compelling mix of dark stone fruits, coffee and blackberries. The 2010 is supremely focused yet rich and rewarding on the palate. The flavours are intense yet restrained, showing brooding dark fruit characters, with cracked pepper hints, some minerality and great complexity. The astounding purity of expression and multilayered structure will allow this wine to mature with elegance for decades to come. Age of vines: 50-130 years old. Cellaring potential: 18+ years. Alcohol: 15.1%."

88 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "[$13 list] Dark ruby. Pungent cherry and blackberry aromas, with hints of licorice and vanilla. Ripe dark berry flavors are braced by racy acidity and show good depth and power. Shows a touch of warmth on the finish, which features a vaguely jammy quality and good persistence. (Jul/Aug 2012)"
86 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 The Stump Jump Shiraz is scented of ripe plums, blackberries and baking spices plus a touch of anise. Medium-bodied with lively acid, chewy tannins, and a medium-long finish, it can be drunk now to 2014. (Dec 2011)"
Producer notes: "The name ‘Stump Jump’ pays homage to a significant South Australian invention -- the Stump Jump plough. As well as clearing the land around McLaren Vale, it was adopted worldwide in the late 19th century because of its ability to ride over stumps and gnarled roots, saving valuable time andnergy. Tasting notes: The nose is chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper. The tannins are fine with d’Arenberg’s trademark earthiness helping keep this easy going wine in check. Alcohol: 14.5%."

87 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "The 2010 The Stump Jump Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre is composed of 47% Shiraz, 29% Mourvedre and 24% Grenache. Medium-deep garnet in color, it offers aromas of spice cake, warm raspberries and kirsch with a hint of white pepper. 91 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "A Shiraz, Grenache, Viognier and Mourvedre blend that is deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Henry’s Seven gives inviting aromas of warm blackberries, black cherries and spiced plums interlaced with cloves, pepper and a delicate floral lift. Medium to full-bodied, it is soft and supple in the mouth with wonderfully pure blackberry and spice flavors supported by crisp acidity and a medium level of velvety tannins. It finishes with a good length. Drink it now to 2017+. (Apr 2013)"
Producer notes: "76% Shiraz, 13% Grenache, 6% Viognier and 5% Mourvèdre grapes grown in the Barossa (Barossa and Eden Valley). Vibrant red with violet hues. Intense aromas of blackberry, plum and anise are lifted by floral notes, stone-fruits, pepper and crushed spices. The palate is juicy and rich of ripe plum flavors, with savoury notes and a hint of licorice; fine-grained tannins provide texture and length for a beautifully svelte finish. Alcohol 14.5%."

89 points Wine Spectator: "[$19 list] Ripe and distinctive for balancing its black pepper and red pepper flavors against ripe currant and blackberry fruit, mingling harmoniously on the refined finish. Drink now through 2018. (6/30/12)"
89 points Wine Advocate: "[$19 list] Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Lodge Hill Shiraz gives notes of black cherries, blackberries and black plums over freshly cracked black pepper, dried Mediterranean herbs and lavender. Medium to full bodied and with very crisp acid, it fills the mouth with vibrant berry flavors textured with a medium level of fine grained tannins, finishing long and a little herbal. Drink it now to 2016+. (Feb 2012)" -Lisa Perrotti-Brown
89 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "[$20 list] Opaque ruby. Blackberry liqueur, dark chocolate and licorice on the nose. Densely packed but supple in texture, offering powerful black and blue fruit flavors and a hint of peppery spice. Smoke and bitter chocolate notes build on the finish, which is long and gently chewy. Give this youthful wine some air or a couple more years of bottle age. (Jul/Aug 2012)"
Producer notes: "[$19 list] Deep, dark red/black hues. Lifted aromas of mulberry, raspberry, coffee, kirsch. Mouth-filling flavors of bramble, chocolate, menthol, rosemary. Stuctural wine with delicate, sensual and ripe tannins. A wine that is ready for immediate enjoyment with a view to cellaring for 7 to 10 years from vintage."

Producer notes: "50% Grenache, 27% Shiraz, 23% Mourvedre. Color: Deep crimson, purple rim. Nose: A varietal swirl inducing a rush of the fruits of a summer berry-pudding...blueberry, mulberry, cranberry, raspberry. Underlying scents of soy, olive and quince, with a spray of sweetened paprika. Upon sitting, wafts of wet dough--a suggestion of Danish pastry/gingerbread... courtesy of the Grenache. Oak. Barely perceptible. Palate: Medium-bodied. Balanced. At this stage, pre-release, flavors still elemental... Turkish Delight beetroot juice, cranberry... Glossy tannins--upfront and middle (cocoa) powdery, yet finishing dusty... compliments of Mourvédre. Persistent, lingering. Solid... Shiraz claiming its stakeholding. vivacious/vibrant/vigorous."

93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Shiraz offers quite a floral nose with a core of dark fruits, blueberries and dark chocolate. Big, rich and voluptuous yet wonderfully balanced in the mouth, it has medium to firm finely grained tannins and a fresh acid line, finishing with good length. Approachable now, it should drink best 2014 to 2022+. (Mar 2013)"
