94 points California Grapevine: "[$225 list] Medium-dark ruby color; very attractive, intense, spicy, complex, cassis and dark berry fruit aroma with hints of olive, dried herbs, espresso, and dark chocolate; full body; rich, textured, easily accessible, complex, cedary, cassis and dark berry fruit flavors with spicy notes; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Well balanced and elegantly styled, making it enjoyable to taste now as it developed with airing in the glass, while also having excellent aging potential. Very highly recommended. 14.5% alcohol; a proprietary 'red wine' blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot, and 1% Malbec; released October 2012. (Jan 2013)"
93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(a blend of 81% cabernet sauvignon, 9% cabernet franc, 5% petit verdot, 4% merlot and 1% malbec): Full medium ruby. Wild, flamboyantly expressive aromas of black raspberry, crystallized blackberry, smoke, leather, licorice, bitter chocolate and cedar, lifted by violet and spices. Smooth, mouthfilling and decidedly dry, with a lightly dusty character to its flavors of dark fruits, minerals and game. The broad, very long finish features building tannins. Quite different in style from the higher-pitched 2008, which was tighter and more floral at the same stage of its evolution. (May 2012)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "This bold, rich and assertive red is firm and concentrated, displaying a mix of dried currant, blackberry, wild berry and spice flavors, ending with loamy earth and melted black licorice notes. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec. Best from 2014 through 2025. (10/31/12)"
Producer notes: "[$118/375ml list] Cabernet Sauvignon 81%, Cabernet Franc 9%, Petit Verdot 6%, Merlot 3% and Malbec 1%. Aromas of black olive and minerals underlie more traditional notes of dark chocolate, cola and espresso. Showing flavors of ripe blueberry, cassis and licorice, this age-worthy wine simultaneously offers a smooth finish and a slight grip of tannin at the close. Barrel aged 17 months in new French oak."

94 points Robert Parker: "The 2002 Mr. K The Nobleman (321 grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.25 grams per liter of acidity) is made from 100% botrytised Chardonnay. Its medium gold color is followed by a wine with honeyed complexity, and huge body, sweetness, and thickness. This effort is never as complex or focused as its siblings, but it is still a phenomenal sweet wine that can stand on its own merits against any great sweet wine made in the world. (Jun 2005)"

93 points Joel Payne (International Wine Cellar): "[$393 list] High-toned aromas of pear drop, quince and mint. An incredibly dense nectar of sweet pineapple and lime fruits with rapier-like acidity. The intense, salty minerality soars on the finish. Offers outstanding potential, but this may not reach its peach for 20 years."
