91 points and 'Editors' Choice,' Wine Enthusiast: "[$22 list] A real beauty with graphite, minerality and rich, clean, exciting berry fruit and controlled oak aromas. Very pure and stylish Cabernet Sauvignon with fat but balanced cassis and sweet berry flavors. Big tannins lend structure and framework; young like a baby now; will be better and more evolved come fall, winter and over the next few years. (Jun 2011)"
91 points and 'Year's Best Chilean Cabernet & Carmenere,' Wine & Spirits: "[$22 list] Pure, ripe and berry-scented, this has none of the menthol aromas usually associated with cabernet from Puente Alto. Instead, it’s big and sweet, soft and creamy, with a black pepper kick to the tannins. (Jun 2012)"
90 points Wine Spectator: "[$22 list] A light eucalyptus note leads to a jammy palate of kirsch, cassis and blackberry liqueur flavors, which cruise through the long finish of mesquite, licorice and dark spice hints. Drink now through 2014. (10/15/12)"
90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "Saturated ruby. Red- and blackcurrant and floral oils on the pungent, spice-accented nose. Juicy, deeply pitched red berry and bitter cherry flavors display a suave blend of density and vivacity and pick up spice and licorice qualities with air. Finishes with mounting tannins and impressive focus. I suspect that this wine will age slowly and gracefully. (Jun 2012)"

91 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "[$22 list] The 2009 Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere contains 14% Cabernet Sauvignon in its makeup. The fruit was sourced from the superb Peumo Vineyard in Rapel Valley with the wine aged for 18 months in 42% new French oak. It displays a more brooding personality in its promising bouquet of sandalwood, exotic spices, dried herbs, floral notes, plum, and blackberry. In the glass it is full-bodied, rich, plush, and structured. The wine conceals enough fine-grained tannin to evolve for 3-4 years. This lengthy effort, stylistically similar but less expensive than the Terrunyo Carmeneres, is a great value that will be at its best from 2014 to 2024. (Feb 2012)"
91 points Wine & Spirits: "[$22 list] A wine of enormous power, this is dominated by black fruit flavors and a youthfully blunt texture—a carmenère far from its ideal point of consumption. The clean lines and firm acidity will help it develop in bottle for at least three years. If you open it now, decant it for a steak. (Jun 2011)"
90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "[$22 list] Opaque ruby. Black and blue fruits on the nose and in the mouth, with complicating licorice and floral nuances and a kick of cracked pepper. Smooth and expansive, with subtle tannins adding shape and grip on a long, spicy finish. (May/Jun 2011)"

90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "[$22 list] Deep red. Fresh red and dark berries, violet and minerals on the aromatic nose. Suave and attractively sweet on the palate, offering lively blackcurrant and cherry flavors and a hint of vanilla. Packs a solid punch but this wine is quite elegant and seamless. The finish repeats the cherry note and clings with very good tenacity. (May/Jun 2011)"
90 points Wine & Spirits: "Focused on fruit, this carmenère emphasizes blackberry and cherry flavors in a simple line, along with soft touches of pepper. The lovely texture and rich depth of flavor are its best assets. (Jun 2011)"
88 points Wine Enthusiast: "Leather, raisin, earth and lightly baked berry aromas precede a woody, vanilla-infused palate with blackberry and spicecake flavors. Balanced and lively on the tongue, with a dry, barrel-spiced finish. Solid and appealing, but a little oaky. Alcohol 14.5%. (Jul 2011)"
87 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "A step up is the purple-colored 2009 Carmenere Single Vineyard (Vinedos Max). Notions of sage, thyme, balsamic, and blueberry lead to a superficial but pleasant wine with ample savory fruit and moderate length. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. (Feb 2012)"
Producer notes: "Complex and enticing, with aromas of fresh blackberries complemented by a roasted red pepper, toast, sweet spice and an elegant note of black pepper. Full-bodied and lush on the palate, with a soft, creamy texture, well-rounded tannins, and a nice finish. Serve with game, roasted meats, steaks, and tomato-based dishes."

89 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "[$24 list] The 2009 Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon contains 10% Merlot and was sourced entirely from the estate’s Apalta vineyards. It was aged for 12 months in French oak. It reveals a reticent nose which with coaxing displays notions of toast, spice box, violets, black currant, and blackberry. In the glass it has ample fruit, tasty flavors, and decent balance but lacks the breadth and volume for an outstanding rate. Even so, there is much to like in this wine which should be consumed over the next 4-5 years. (Feb 2012)"
88 points Wine Spectator: "[$24 list] There's a pleasant earthy undertone to the ripe cassis and plum skin notes that mingle with hints of spice, tobacco and dark humus, as grippy tannins set in on the finish. The best of three bottles tasted. Drink now. (10/15/12)"
88 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$24 list] Earthy, warm and generously oaked, with berry aromas that bring leather and smoke. The palate is healthy and tight, with spiky tannins and herbal black fruit flavors. Grippy on the finish, with olive and spice. Very much a good-quality, typically styled Chilean Cabernet. Alcohol 14.5%. (Dec 2011)"

Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 89 points by Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) - Carmenere (30%) spent 6 months in American oak. It offers a bit more complexity than the two preceding wines in its alluring nose of cedar, lavender, Asian spices, incense, blackberry, and blueberry. In the glass it exhibits a firm structure, plush fruit, excellent balance, and a fruit-filled finish. This outstanding value is likely to evolve for 1-2 years but there is no reason to defer gratification. It should continue to provide pleasure over the next 5-6 years."

89 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "[$18 list] The 2011 Montes Twins is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec that has an attractive lifted, floral bouquet with touches of creme de cassis, black currant, mint and orange blossom. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy ripe tannins, good acidity and tons of succulent, juicy black, vanilla-infused fruit on the dry, grainy finish. This is simple but enjoyable. Drink now-2016. (Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "50% Malbec, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. On their own, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon shine, but when paired up, these two classic varieties complement each other perfectly. It’s a sensational double bill: wonderful richness, structure and fruit from the Cabernet, with smooth, velvety texture from the Malbec--adding up to a wine that’s greater than the sum of its parts while the oak aging contributes with subtle notes of vanilla and liqueur and its soft tannins provide an specially elegant finish. 60% of the wine is aged 10 months in new French oak barrels."

90 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "[$18 list] Fragrant aromas of /Asian spices, incense, pencil lead, black currant, some complexity, lengthy. (Oct 2010)"
89 points Wine Spectator: "This well-built red delivers a solid core of crushed plum and blackberry fruit, with cassis, violet and dark toast notes that linger on the finish. Drink now through 2012. (2/28/11)"
Producer notes: "Color: Deep violet-ruby-red. Aroma: Elegant, sophisticated, and complex, with fruity notes that blend cherries, prunes, tobacco, and roasted coffee. Palate: Well-rounded and very well structured, with ripe tannins and plenty of texture. Long finish. Pairing Suggestion: Drink with coal-roasted red meats, well-seasoned dishes, stews, casseroles, and ripe cheeses."

89 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "[$18 list] The 2009 Reserve Merlot (100%) was aged in French and American oak for 8 months. It offers up an aromatic array of cinnamon, clove, incense, tobacco, black currant, and blackberry. In the glass it reveals layered fruit, spicy flavors, good volume, and excellent balance. This surprisingly rich Merlot can be approached now and will provide pleasure for another 4-5 years. It is an excellent value. (Feb 2012)"
Producer notes: "Deep violet-ruby-red, this Merlot is a very fruity wine with aromas of plums, blackberries, and black currant accompanied by intense notes of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. It has soft, ripe tannins that lend good structure and balance on the palate. Pairing suggestion: Drink with red meats, white meats, pastas, game birds, and cheeses."

Producer notes: "Ritual Pinot Noir is the result of Agustin Huneeus’ quest to produce world class Pinot Noir from Casablanca valley. Partnering with esteemed American winemaker, Paul Hobbs and applying the same time-honored viticulture and winemaking methods as those used in Burgundy, he set out to produce Pinot Noir of superior quality, structure and elegance. Fruit for this wine is selected from three distinct vineyard sites within our Casablanca Valley estate. Hand harvested in small batches in the cool morning fog, fruit from each vineyard contributes unique qualities to the finished wine in the form of character, dimension and personality. Together, they create an elegant wine with density and richness. Vibrant flavors of cherry and rasberry, soft tannins, fresh acidity and a lingering finish."
