88 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2010 Sin Zin is about as good a bottle of California wine as readers will find for the money. Juicy, rich and varietally expressive, the 2010 impresses for its balance, especially at this price point. Juicy red cherries, tobacco, flowers and mint linger on the expressive, layered finish. This is a terrific effort for a vintage that was very, very hard for Zinfandel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015. (Apr 2013)"
Producer notes: "The 2010 includes a small amount of Petite Sirah to broaden the mouthfeel on the wine and add a little more dark fruit to the palate. There are aromas of raspberry, plum, black cherry, and citrus. In the glass there are flavors of plum, cranberry, black cherry, and classic spicy black pepper. The 2010 is a restrained vintage and will reward those with the patience to cellar a few bottles. 98.5% Zinfandel, 1.5% Petite Sirah. Alcohol 14.7%."

California Grapevine: "Light yellow; attractive, floral, lemony, grassy, pear, melon, and kiwi aroma; medium-full body; forward, intense, herbal, grassy, citrus and stone fruit flavors with a slightly creamy mouthfeel... lingering aftertaste. Highly recommended. 13.5% alcohol; blended with 24% Semillon; 20% barrel fermented; 0% malolactic fermentation. (Aug/Sep 2009)"
Producer notes: "76% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Sémillon. This Sauvignon Blanc seamlessly combines lush, mouth-filling fruit with refreshing acidity. The aromas highlight bright citrus notes of lemon zest, grapefruit and kaffir lime, underscored by subtle hints of pear and dried apricot. Echoing the aromatics, the palate reveals vibrant citrus layers complemented by more subdued tropical elements of banana, coconut and lychee."

It's been better than 10 years running and the Waterstone Cabernet continues to wow us every vintage. Mother Nature framed the 2010 growing season producing one of the most exquisite vintages in many years. Extremely well-established hillside vineyards are the foundation for the wine. As you no doubt already know, the primary fruit source is so exclusive we're not allowed to divulge the origin (western Oakville Benchlands). This well-pedigreed "best buy" is our recommendation as your "must have" Napa Cabernet for the home. Pro tip: Buy it by the case. Overall tonnage was off by as much as 20%, so supplies will dry up sooner than we'd like.
Tasting notes: With its Bordeaux-like presence, this wine is deep, rich, and lingering. Firm, integrated tannins frame the concentrated, dark fruit (currant, black cherry, wild berry, plum.) Toasty oak and an earthy edge add to the wine's great complexity.
