91-94 points Fine Wine Review: "The Pommard-Pézerolles displays cedar aromas, often a marker of Pézerolles. The nose shows dark syrup fruit, especially blueberry and blackberry, and an overall impression of elegance, finesse, and freshness. Up to here, the wines have been 25% new oak. (Issue #133; 2011)"
91-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(33% stems). Like the Taillepieds, this is also highly perfumed with rose petal, fresh red berries, wet stone and an earthy component that can also be found on the equally mineral-inflected, cool and pure flavors that evidence excellent detail and real verve on the delicious, intense and persistent finish. A lovely and understated Pommard of finesse. Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding. Drink: 2019+. (May 2011)"
91-93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(two-thirds vendange entier) Good bright, full red. Pungent, expressive aromas of cherry, blackberry, cassis, licorice and white flowers; offers lovely perfume for the year. Dense, clean and juicy, with the intense fruit flavors framed and enlivened by crushed stone and floral notes. Finishes long and aromatic, with suave tannins and a note of spicy oak. This should be excellent. (Jan/Feb 2011)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 Volnay 'Vendanges Selectionées' from the Lafarges is excellent this year. The bouquet is a red fruity and refined mélange of cherries, red plums, raw cocoa, fresh thyme, a touch of blood orange, stunningly complex soil tones and a nice touch of rose in the upper register. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and very transparent, with a rock solid core of fruit, ripe tannins, tangy acids and excellent length and grip on the youthful and classy finish. 2015-2040. (Nov/Dec 2010)"
92 points Fine Wine Review: "The Volnay, vendanges sélectionnées is pure with structure underlying the red fruit. This should be excellent with perhaps 8-10 years in the cellar. (Issue #137; 2013)"
90-92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2009 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnees is a selection of village-level parcels. This is a decidedly centered style of Volnay built on a solid core of fruit. It possesses plenty of mid-palate juiciness, while the fruit has enough sheer density to match the tannins on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2029. (May 2011)"

89-91 points Robert Parker: "The Domaine Roger Perrin’s potentially outstanding, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits beautiful aromas of black raspberries, black currants and pepper as well as attractive elegance, power, purity and depth. A precocious component suggests it should drink well for a decade or more. (Oct 2010)"

90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "[$20 list] Bright violet. High-pitched, intensely perfumed aromas of spicecake, redcurrant and wild strawberry, plus a hint of white pepper. Racy, sappy and gently sweet, offering palate-staining red fruit preserve and candied rose flavors with hints of licorice and succulent herbs. Finishes on a gripping note of bitter cherry, with very good precision and length. Smells like a lot of ripe stems in here; fans of Dujac Burgundies should check this out. (Feb 2011)"
89 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Chermette’s 2009 Beaujolais Vieilles Vignes Cuvee Traditionelle -- whose 45 hectoliter per hectare represented, he said, about as high a yield as he ever gets -- is loaded with ripe cherry and purple plum; laced with lip-smacking and invigorating salinity and cherry pit bitterness; and finishes with savory length, notes of iodine and chalk adding to a sense of minerality pronounced for its vintage (and highlighting the difference with the basic 'Pierre Chermette' bottling, which incorporates purchased fruit). Soft and generous yet minerally diverse and refreshing, this should remain delightful for 18-24 months. (Aug 2010)"
88 points Fine Wine Review: "Chermette’s estate Beaujolais vieilles vignes cuvée traditionnelle is smooth and opulent with simple, but most enjoyable crushed cassis fruit. Probably best enjoyed over the next 3-5 years. 12% stated alcohol. (Issue #131/132; 2011)"
