Wow, the dried tropical fruit (pineapple and guava, especially) scent takes command immediately in the initial whiffs; additional time in glass stimulates deeper aromas of pine nut, apricot, pears, honeysuckle, old leather and orange blossom -- a fabulously sensual bouquet. Entry taste is lusciously gripping and honeyed, with earmark flavors of toffee, sweet breakfast cereal and orange marmalade; midpalate turns nearly profound in terms of depth of flavor, in particular, the long, languid tastes of almond butter and nougat are highly aspects. A rare whiskey matured in hand picked oak casks. Mixed sherry notes, aromatic oils, touch of wood, spice, toffee; wonderfully mellow, smooth, and full of complex flavors -- toffee, spice, hints of wood; a gentle sherry nuttiness, vanilla -- all coming together to give a unique sensation. A long lingering finish draws the theme of wood, spice, and sweet toffee to its conclusion.
