*****Highest Recommendation, F. Pault Pacult (Spirit Journal): "More coppery/henna-like in color than B&B; excellent purity. The comely herbaceousness doesn't leap from the glass as much as if wafts in stately manner; aeration releases multiple layers of mesmerizing fragrance, including pine/cedar, quince, fennel, white pepper, licorice, mace, allspice, sage, and rosemary; there is no other liqueur bouquet like it. What's missed in the aroma is the orange zest/tangerine that's evident in the palate entry; the flavor profile at midpalate is in full swing as layer after layer of appealing taste bobs up then ducks down, leaving room for the others; these exotic yet familiar flavors include orange zest, tangerine zest, multiple herbs and spices, honey, and pine. One of the ten best liqueurs in the world."
Named to the Spirit Journal's '140 Best Five Star Spirits in the World for 2012 (#129)': "Made for centuries, Benedictine is a mellow yet characterful liqueur that smacks equally of benign medicine and delectable spirit. (Jun 2012)"
'Top 50 Spirits of 2008' and Classic (96-100)/Highest Recommendation, Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet is mesmerizing with multiple layers of fragrances that include pine/cedar, quinine, fennel, white pepper, licorice, mace, allspice, sage and rosemary. An orange zest flavor appears at palate entry; midpalate finds exotic tastes of orange zest, tangerine zest, multiple herbs and spices, honey and pine. A fabulous liqueur. Best Buy."

98 points The Tasting Panel: "This has been around so long it had a color named after it -- a translucent light green; complex, lush, spicy nose; 130 herbs create a mystical sweet, potent and seductive flavor; beautifully balanced between spice, sweet and alcohol heat; creamy, fascinating and very long; hints of lime, mint, pine, licorice, and many more. Still superb after 405 years. (Jan/Feb 2011)"
95 points and 'Top 50 Spirits 2011,' Wine Enthusiast: "This light green liquid features musky, herbal and botanical aromas: star anise, tarragon, basil and Dutch licorice. Flavors are bold and sweet, with a slight earthiness and alcohol heat. Finishes sharp, herbal, grassy, floral and complex. Thick and viscous. A classic for gin-based cocktails. (Feb 2011)"
Named to the Spirit Journal's '140 Best Five Star Spirits in the World for 2012 (#123)': "Like Benedictine, Chartreuse is a benchmark liqueur that started out as a curative liquid and ended up as one of a handful of towering monastic achievements left standing from the creative period of four to five centuries ago. The VEP is a stunning liquid of fathomless depth and quality. (Jun 2012)"
Green Chartreuse is the only liqueur in the world with a completely natural green color. Only two Chartreuse monks know the identity of the 130 plants, how to blend them and how to distill them into this world famous liqueur. To bring out all its flavor, it should be consumed very cold, even on the rocks.

***** Highest Recommendation, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "The old gold coin/deep straw/very old sauternes hue is beautiful and flawlessly pure. Smells of salty maritime single malt whisky right from the opening whiff; aeration plays to this great liqueurs' strengths as the layers of aroma require some time to unfold; these layers offer succulent, integrated scents of honey, heather, pine needle, thyme, and most thrilling of all, salty single malt Scotch whisky. Entry is firm, thick, gently sweet but balanced by a fierce herbal quality that's fresh and dried at the same time; the flavor profile at midpalate features more of the whisky as the various herbs, spices, and honey make merry around their whisky core. One of the top five liqueurs ever produced in the history of distilled spirits."
'Top 50 Spirits of 2008' and Classic (96-100)/Highest Recommendation, Wine Enthusiast: "The nosing passes find layers of aromas of honey, heather, pine needle, thyme and salty single malt Scotch whisky. Entry is thick, gently sweet but balanced by a fierce herbal quality; midpalate focuses on the whisky while the various herbs, spices and honey make merry around their whisky core. One of the best liqueurs available."

96 points and 'Top 50 Spirits 2012,' Wine Enthusiast: "[$220 list] This version of Grand marnier uses rare Cognac reserves aged up to 50 years. Here, the flavor and scent are closer to Cognac than orange liqueur. Look for a rich topaz color, with heady dried fruit notes as well as a clear hit of juicy orange fruit. It's mellow, mouthwatering, and it seems a shame to mix it, though it's been spotted at some restaurants in 'ultra-premium margaritas.' abv: 40% (Feb 2012)"
*****/Highest Recommendation, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Dark amber/old copper penny color. The perfume is intense, but balanced through the ten minutes of sniffing; the triple orange acts as the ideal companion to the old cognac. Tastes wonderfully of orange zest and tangerine, as well as classic cognac. Ends up remarkably mellow and textured. Couldn't possibly be better than it already is."
Named to the Spirit Journal's '140 Best Five Star Spirits in the World for 2012 (#125)'.
Launched in 1977 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the House of Grand Marnier, this opulent blend was created for cognac enthusiasts. It combines essence of orange with very old cognacs mainly from Grand Champagne, Cognac's most prestigious vine-growing area, in a unique decander. Color: Beautiful, reddish-gold core with light amber edges. Aroma: Rich nose of aged cognac with background notes of cocoa, cinnamon and other spices. Flavor: Macerated bitter orange flavors enriched by notes of coffee, honey, bitter almonds and spices. The finish is long and complex. "Best Liqueur" and "Double Gold Medal" at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

'Top 50 Spirits of 2007' and 90-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet is lovely, balanced, properly astringent, ripe and juicy with scents of cherry stone and cherry juice. The palate entry is decadently sweet and textured with vibrant tastes of cherry compote and cherry preserves at midpalate. The finish is svelte, moderately syrupy and downright delicious. An outstanding liqueur: use it in an Aviation Cocktail."

90-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Displays early botanical scents of orange peel, fresh not dried coriander, red cherry, pekoe tea and cucumber. Palate entry is sweet at first then it quickly turns mildly bitter and botanical; by midpalate, there’s a slight sweetness of tangerine/mandarin peel. Aftertaste is moderately bittersweet and citrusy."

90-95 points Superb/Highly Recommended, Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet is appealing, ripe, fruity and berry-like. The palate entry is pomegranate-like, extremely sour, acidic and tart; the midpalate is less aggressive and riper. Finishes tart, amazingly clean and ripe. A wonderful cocktail ingredient."
The Tasting Panel: "Super-premium PAMA Pomegranate is crafted by infusing premium vodka and a small percentage of blanco tequila with all-natural pomegranate juice. It is bottled at an accessible 34 proof. PAMA has a seductive, true-to-fruit reddish hue, a lushly textured, medium-weight body and an alluring bouquet of mixed berry aromas. Its sumptuous palate is imbued with the dry, tart flavors of pomegranate and cranberries. It's one of the rare 'can't miss' ingredients with myriad creative applications behind the bar, including use in classic and modern cocktails. (Mar 2012)"

90-95 points Superb/Highly Recommended, Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet features appealing aromas of licorice that are simultaneously dry, spicy, herbal and vegetal. Palate entry is first dry then off-dry, minerally, slatey and anise-like; mid-palate features the anise, but also nicely salty tastes of mace and sage that overlap with the mineral, concrete aspect. Finishes bitter, herbal, with a hint of anise and salt. (Oct 2009)"
Wall Street Journal: "Good. Classic anise-forward absinthe. Flavorful without being strident. (5/9/09)"
The original absinthe returns to its roots. Though technically thujone-free -- with less than 10 parts per million of thujone, the chemical in grand wormwood that led to the banning of absinthe in the early 20th century -- this is considered the "real deal." In addition to wormwood, absinthe usually contains fennel and anise, along with other herbal ingredients. Serve in the time honored manner, "touched" with water poured over a sugar cube, placed on a slotted spoon.

The first liqueur in the world made in the artisanal French manner, from freshly hand-picked elderflower blossoms. Musky-sweet aroma hinting of Meyer lemon and mouth-filling honeyed pear flavor.
Named to the Spirit Journal's '140 Best Five Star Spirits in the World for 2012 (#38)': "Maybe the best new liqueur released in the last two decades, St.-Germain is a revelation due to its delicacy and its unique flavor. A gifted mixed drink ingredient, St.-Germain is fresh, succulent, and delicious due primarily to its understatement and class. (Jun 2012)"
'Top 50 Spirits of 2008' and Classic (96-100)/Highest Recommendation, Wine Enthusiast: "The seductive bouquet offers wonderfully floral and fruity fragrances of elderflower, becoming richly pear- and quince-like following aeration time. The palate entry is soft and firm; the midpalate is integrated, harmonious and exquisitely balanced between alcohol level, sweetness, acidity and floral impact. A perfect liqueur. Best Buy."
