Enticing aromas of leather and cigar box frame scents of black fruit. Flavors of plums and blackberries are at the fore, woven with umami mushroom/soy nuances, savory herbs, black olive and spice notes. All well integrated and balanced, this wine is enjoyable now, though firm, and will just get better with a little age. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc.
Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 95 points and 'Top 100 Wine of 2012 (#89)' by Wine Enthusiast: "Good enough to be a reserve, this includes just 4% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet. Smooth and supple, full of lovely toasty aromatics, it layers rich cherry against the lush barrel spice. A companionable wine, already drinking beautifully, but perfectly fine to cellar for up to a decade. Alcohol 14.8%."

Producer notes: "This chardonnay has a fresh bouquet of green apple, citrus zest, orange blossom and mineral. These refreshing aromas continue on the palate with bright tropical and citrus flavors that finish clean with balanced acidity. This crisp chardonnay makes a nice aperitif and pairs well with light seafood dishes, especially shellfish. Aged sur lie in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation."
Not yet reviewed; 2011 vintage rated 89 points by both Wine Enthusiast and International Wine Cellar, which wrote: "Green-tinged yellow. Bright, high-pitched aromas and flavors of Meyer lemon and green apple. Gains depth with air, picking up peach pit and melon nuances and finishing smooth and clinging. Talley told me that this wine was essentially the young vines from Oliver's Vineyard, with the malo blocked."

Producer notes: "The Collina Dalla Valle, a special cuvee produced mainly from the younger vines on the estate, is amazingly exuberant, aromatic, and densely concentrated. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, the wine captures the character of our unique terroir. 2010 was a relatively mild year, but with several spikes of heat that helped to give great density and concentration to the fruit. Immediately after opening, complex aromas of ripe black fruits, Chinese five-spice, incense, and roasted meat captivate you. The texture is incredibly silky and soft, and the fruit flavors rush across the palate with a sweet, supple impression. While Collina Dalla Valle 2010 is accessible upon release, it will definitely be long-lived, continuing to develop over the next 12-15 years. 350 cases produced."

Producer notes: "The 2012 Elk Cove Vineyards Pinot Gris has sweet and unctuous aromatics while showing crispness on the palate with vibrant citrus and grapefruit. True to Elk Cove Vineyards’ style, a rich mouthfeel leads to a full and satisfying balanced finish. Drink this lovely white wine as an aperitif or with a variety of food pairings from salmon and main-course salads to Asian and Thai influenced dishes."
Not yet reviewed; 2011 vintage rated 89 points by Wine & Spirits: "Hints of lemon, green apple and chalk all mingle in this lean gris’s aromatics; the flavors are racy, reflecting the vintage, with a salty zest to the finish that would pair well with prawns roasted in salt."

Producer notes: "Truant, blended from multiple appellations throughout California, now has its own identity. The name Truant describes someone who slips away from the confines of everyday routine, and also refers to our winemaking style which is not limited by geographical confines. Not only is it blended from vineyards around the state, but it is 77% Zinfandel, 13% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah, 3% Barbera and 2% Sangiovese. On the nose there are dark berry notes and spicy notes from oak aging. The wine drinks of juicy blackberry, ripe plums and a touch of blueberry. Generous in fruit flavors, plenty of structure and a velvety finish."

90 points Robert Parker: "[$18 list] The early-bottled, gorgeous 2012 Miraflors Rose is a blend of 70% Mourvedre and 30% Grenache Gris that was aged on its lees for four months prior to bottling. Its beautiful color is accompanied by scents of framboise, earth and strawberries presented in a medium-bodied, surprisingly substantial format. Think of it as a Bandol-styled rose offered at a much more realistic price point. Drink it over the next year. (Dec 2012)"
Producer notes: "Very fresh, pale color with salmon hues. The nose references sea flavors with spices and minerality. The wine palate is crisp; the spiciness and fruit have a nice, round finish. Enjoy with mixed salads, cold and grilled meats."

92-93 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "...a superb value. From tank, the Mas de la Deveze grand vin, 2007 Cotes du Roussillon Villages -- half Grenache, with the rest evenly split between Syrah and Carignan, and matured in used barriques -- is an intensely-concentrated essence of fresh black fruits and smoky, stony minerality, with accents of bitter, tart fruit pit and skin and resinous herbs. There is a sheer sap and vivacious, tactilely pungent and invigorating cling here that just won’t quit. The density of ripe fruit is matched by graphite and crushed stone. Assuming Bernstein has gotten this into bottle with minimal loss, it will be as fine as any wine yet from his estate. (Jun 2009)"

50% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 15% Tibouren. This rosé is one of the finest wines of the Côtes de Provence appellation. With its magnificent location in the center of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, the Minuty Château was acquired by the Matton-Farnet family in 1936. This vineyard gained "Cru Classe" status in 1955 and has remained one of Provence's flagship estates ever since. Its 65 hectares are traditionally cultivated (no herbicides, no pesticides) to allow the full expression of traditional Provence varieties in the terroir of this exceptionally sunny region. Truly the taste of summer, this light, refreshing and versatile wine pairs well with light fare, from pastas, cheeses, grilled seafood, poultry and pork as well as seasonal vegetable dishes.

Producer notes: "Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, Parigot Rosé contains all of its characteristics. Its delicate color and unique aromas are obtained through a short maceration of the Pinot Noir. The freshness of this crémant's salmon robe along with its fine, even foam attracts the eye to it. Its fruity nose as well as its fine effervescence completes its charm. However, the real pleasure is in the mouth: vivacity, character, and youthfulness, coming from the union of roundness and elegance. A delicious compliment to any dessert!"

89 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "[$13 list] The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the same vineyard and 40% of the crop is aged in new American oak for ten months. There is a palpable edginess to the nose with blackberry, tart red cherry and crushed stone that is extremely well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, the judicious oak deftly interwoven into the crisp blackberry and blueberry fruit. The finish pulls back the throttle: refined, nicely focused with a wonderfully poised finish. Like the Malbec, this is indescribably good value. Drink now-2016. (Oct 2012)"
Producer notes: "Nicely focused blackberry, cherry, plum, fruitcake with dark chocolate, this Cabernet Sauvignon is concentrated and has firm tannins for great personality. Alcohol 14.0%."

Producer notes: "[$14 list] 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier. Alcohol 12.0%."The latest vintage of our extraordinary blend enchants the nose with a refreshing bouquet of succulent fruit and delicate florals, opening with juicy honeydew melon, sweet white peach, and ripe green plum touched with hints of spiced white tea and soft apple blossom. The vivacious palate leads with crisp yellow grapefruit, fresh-cut pineapple and sumptuous honeyed pear notes. Lush and lively fruit flavors linger through the clean and slightly off-dry finish. Food Pairings: With its balanced acidity, this versatile wine pairs well with a number of dishes, from light salads to seafood to, most notably, foods with a hint of spiciness -- its subtle sweetness provides balance alongside a touch of heat. Try Chenin Blanc + Viognier with a flavorful Thai curry, a sushi dish, such as a spicy tuna roll, or seared halibut."
Not yet reviewed; 2011 vintage rated 90 points by Robert Parker: "...79% Chenin Blanc and 21% Viognier was aged in stainless steel. It exhibits a big, sweet nose of ripe melons, white peaches and apricots as well as crisp acids and a crunchy, succulent mouthfeel. The result is a delightful white wine that could be served as an aperitif or with an assortment of sushi, sashimi or baked fish. Enjoy it over the next year."

Producer notes: "100% Sauvignon Blanc, primarily sourced from Lake County. Fermented in all stainless steel tanks; extremely long and cold ferment allows for the fragrant and big fruit flavors to be appreciated. The crisp acidity is retained and then rounded out and complimented by a broadened mouth and ever-slight sweetness. Tasting notes: A mouth-watering, vivid style; this wine explodes with delicious flavors of passion fruit, guava, quince, lime peel; with an intensely grapefruit nose. Alcohol 13%."
Not yet reviewed; 2011 vintage rated 88 points and 'Best Buy' by Wine Enthusiast: "This is a large-production Sauvignon Blanc that tastes delicious. If you like grapefruit and pomelo flavors, you will love this enticingly priced white that’s got razor sharp acidity, a touch of New Zealand-like grass and a long finish."

89 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(65% zinfandel, 20% petite sirah, 9% carignane, 3% mataro, 2% alicante bouschet and 1% grenache): Opaque ruby. Black raspberry, anise, vanilla and musky herbs on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Juicy and open-knit, offering lively red and dark berry flavors and a deeper note of black cardamom. Supple tannins give shape to a sweet, nicely persistent finish. I'd drink this approachable wine in its youth, for the fruit. (May/Jun 2013)"
Producer notes: "65% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 9% Carignane, 3% Mataro, 2% Alicante Bouchet, 1% Grenache. Aromas of briar fruit, dried herbs, clay earth, and sweet oak.
