88 points Wine Spectator: "[$20 list] This jammy red shows layers of game and baking spice flavors to the ripe cassis and kirsch notes, which linger with a floral aftertaste. Drink now. (10/15/12)"
88 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(aged 12 months in an 80/20 blend of French and American barrels): Bright red-ruby. Blackberry and licorice aromas accented by herbs and spices. Supple, savory and fine-grained, with a nicely restrained sweetness. The tannins are well integrated but the wine's fruit is still a bit locked-up today and in need of a year or two of bottle aging. Firm and persistent on the finish. (Mar/Apr 2012)"
88 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$20 list] Fleshy and aggressive on the bouquet, this has aromas of wild berries, with leather and dried cheese accents. It feels full and weighty, with sweet, almost-stewy flavors of blackberry and plum, and supporting notes of vanilla and spice. This finishes a bit rubberry. Alcohol 15%. (Aug 2012)"
Producer notes: "This 100% Malbec wine has ripe, red fruit aromas and spicy notes, with round, soft tannins and a lively mouthfeel. This wine pairs well with grilled pork tenderloin, lamb and veal with fresh herbs. Alcohol: 15.0%."

90 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(a blend of 57% malbec, 15% merlot, 15% cabernet sauvignon, 10% syrah and 3% petit verdot): Bright medium ruby. Sexy, nuanced aromas of blackberry, game, chocolate, herbs and smoky oak, with suggestions of liqueur-like ripeness. Suave on entry, then dense and smooth in the middle, showing good violet lift to the intense black fruit flavors. The rising finish shows excellent retention of fruit and tannins that are firm but not hard. As usual, this bottling offers a lot of flavor for the price. (Mar/Apr 2012)"
90 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate): "[$19 list] The 2009 Clos de Los Siete is a nearly identical blend with the same elevage. Ripe, succulent, and impressively balanced, this outstanding value will also drink well for another 5-6 years. (Dec 2011)"
90 points Wine & Spirits: "A modern malbec, this blends scents of sweet black fruit with notes of tart red fruit, ripe, rich and juicy. Still youthful, the wine’s texture needs meat to give it shape. (Feb 2012)"
'Smart Buys' and 89 points Wine Spectator: "Rich yet cut, with complex layers of cassis, blackberry and fig paste leading to notes of tobacco and wild herb that linger on the minerally finish. Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Drink now. (11/30/11)"
17/20 points Decanter: "It's polished to a high sheen but won't overpower your senses. Bright and perfumed with aromas of chocolate truffles and underneath notes of plums and damsons. In the mouth it's sleek and supple with a creamy undercurrent, brambly fruits and a lifted finish. Alcohol 14%. (Aug 2012)"

87 points Wine Spectator: "[$18 list] Shows a mix of violet, pastis and ripe boysenberry fruit, backed by ample spice and toast. The fleshy finish lets the toasty edge hang on. Malbec, Bonarda and Petit Verdot. Drink now. (12/31/10)"
Producer notes: "80% Malbec, 12% Bonarda, 8% Petit Verdot. This blend presents a violet red color with shades of purple. At first the classic floral aromas of Malbec fill the nose, to be latter enhanced by notes of red fruits, such as strawberries, typical of the Bonarda variety. On the palate, it has the trademark Malbec silkiness, buoyed by the structure and depth of Petit Verdot. This wine achieves a unique combination where Bonarda and Petit Verdot add freshness and structure to a foundation composed of our renowned and beloved Malbec. A unique wine with a persistent and long finish. Its tannic structure and complex nose makes it a perfect choice to accompany beef and stews."

Greenish yellow in color. The nose is complex and combines a blend of citrus fruits (such as pink grapefruit and lime) with white peach and notes of hay. On the palate, a good entry of fresh fruit, well-balanced with a clean finish.

Producer notes: "Rich ruby red in color with purple hints. Fresh fruit, cinnamon and cherry aromas. Very attractive velvety feel on the palate, delicious finish. Alcohol 13.7%."
