Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 91 points by Wine Spectator: "This offers a lovely creamy feel, as enticing Cavaillon melon, pear and fig flavors are offset by hints of tangerine and bitter almond on the richly layered finish. Drink now through 2013. 50 cases imported."

90 points Robert Parker: No tasting note given. Previous vintage rated 92-94 points by Robert Parker: "...very high quality and deserve[s] readers’ attention. Hopefully my prose has convinced more than a handful of readers to try these remarkable wines from one of the most fascinating and compelling personalities in the entire wine world, and one dedicated to the highest quality."
89 points Wine Spectator: "Features powerful pear tart and spiced apple flavors, which are joined by notes of dried mango and fig. Hints of shiso leaf and tarragon show on the firm, focused finish. Drink now through 2016. (5/31/13)"

86 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$20 list] The lightness of texture and crisp acidity make this Pinot Noir easy to drink now. The raspberry and cola flavors finish clean and dry. Alcohol 13.5%. (Mar 2013)"
Producer notes: "[$20 list] Aromas are highlighted by ripe cherries and raspberries with clove and toasted oak accents. In the mouth this wine is soft and velvety with juicy cherry-berry flavors along with a hint of spiciness. icely balanced with moderate tannins."

91 points Robert Parker: "[$10 list] The same characteristics are also present in the 2011 Rio Madre. It exhibits slightly riper blackberry fruit intermixed with notions of licorice, wood smoke, camphor and a vivid floral display. These cuvees are aged in French oak prior to bottling. Both should drink well for 2-5 years. (Oct 2012)"
90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(100% graciano, aged in French oak for ten months): Inky ruby. Spice-accented aromas and flavors of black and blue fruits and cola, with notes of dark chocolate and licorice. Concentrated and powerful on the palate, with a spicy note building with air. Intense licorice, blackcurrant and bitter cherry notes linger on the spicy, youthfully tannic finish. Outstanding value here; there are very few all-graciano Riojas made, and they all cost a lot more than this one. (Sep 2012)"
