89+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "This is another Ortsweine, and it is lovely in 2009. The nose offers up a fine and complex blend of pineapple, lemon, just a touch of sea salts, white flowers, slate, lemon zest and just a whiff of petrol in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, crisp and beautifully based in its slate soil tones, with lovely poise, fine mid-palate depth and great cut and bounce on the long and classy finish. There seems to be a bit more dimension here from the lower yields required for wine at the Ortsweine level, and this makes for a very exciting combination with the great aromatic complexity of this bottling. Impressive. 2010-2020+. (Mar/Apr 2010)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The two Spätlesen from the Felseneck came this year from the very steepest section of the vineyard and was not harvested until the span between November 10th to the 15th, and is a beautifully delicate, dancing bottle in the making. The bouquet is deep and very pure, as it offers up scents of pear, white cherry, lovely slate tones, bee pollen, citrus zest and spring flowers. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and very, very pure, with great refinement and elegance, lovely mid-palate depth and plenty of crisp acidity on the long, filigreed and again, simply dancing finish. This is my kind of Spätlese! 2010-2035. (Mar/Apr 2010)"
