92 points Peter Moser (International Wine Cellar): "Medium green-yellow. Juicy ripe peach, pear, white currant and spring meadow herbs comprise a complex bouquet. Concentrated and powerful, with a full-bodied, creamy texture. Pleasing, well-integrated acidity highlights the bright yellow fruit in the mouth. Long finish is rich in mineral extract. Very good aging potential here. Drink from 2008 to 2018. (Nov/Dec 2007)"
89+ points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "[$27 list] The 2006 Gruner Veltliner Eichenstaude retained a considerable measure of CO2 six weeks after bottling, and was subtly marked by its stay in Fuder. A Chenin-like aroma of quince mingled with orange zest and toasted nuts leads to a rich mouthful of fruit, drawing vigor from citrus and saline notes, and showing excellent promise of short term improvement and 5-7 years ageability. (Jun 2008)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "[$36 list] A rich and luscious Riesling, with well-defined flavors of peach, mineral, smoke and spice. There's crunchy apple and piecrust flavors on the finish. Drink now through 2014. 667 cases made. (12/15/08)"
90 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "[$36 list] The Eichinger 2006 Riesling Heiligenstein offers lovely, site-typical scents of buddleia, fennel, white peach, and citrus. With a mere hint of sweetness (from 9 grams residual sugar) and saline, wet stone, and pungent citrus zest notes, it offers a palate-coating, and refreshing finish, and a clear view of this magnificent Riesling vineyard. As with last year’s rendition, Eichinger employed some pre-fermentative skin contact with evident success. Expect this to repay at least 6-7 years of cellaring. (Feb 2009)"

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "A crisp wine that shows fresh plum and green berry fruits over a tight structure. It is restrained initially and then bursts with acidity. A definite wine of terroir, marked by finishing minerality. (Oct 2009)"

David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "[$58 list] The Pichler-Krutzler 2007 Gruner Veltliner Superin -- from sandy, eroded Urgestein vineyards just upstream but very different in character from the gravelly, alluvial Klostersatz -- combines rich pit fruits, a glossy texture, and a plush sense of stuffing with piquant nuttiness, white pepper, and saline and wet stone minerality. This should prove versatile and satisfying for at least 4-5 years in bottle. (Feb 2009)"

90 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Their last-harvested (November 1) wine, picked at yet significantly lower potential alcohol than generally applies to F.X. Pichler Kellerberg, Pichler and Krutzler’s 2007 Riesling Wunderburg features ripe, brown spiced peach with refreshing, invigorating citricity, salinity, and fruit pit bitterness as well as peppery pungency informing a rich, silken textured palate. This displays a lot of finesse in its long finish and will, I suspect, be worth following from bottle for at least 4-5 years. (Feb 2009)"

90 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "From vines he planted himself in one of the highest, steepest places on the schistic, quartzite- and iron-rich Eisenberg, plus fruit from neighboring parcels, Schiefer’s 2005 Blaufrankisch Szapary suggests Sichuan pepper and black tea in its smokiness, and loads the nose and palate with pure, fresh blackberry fruit, then offers a complex and scintillating inner-mouth display of crustacean minerality, subtly bitter-sweet florality, and pungent spice. What’s more, this represents an exceptional value in red wine by any standards. (Jun 2008)"
89 points Wine Spectator: "[$40 list] Very stylish and rich, with well-sculpted flavors of raspberry, plum pudding and spice. Pure, minerally and juicy, with pepper, mint and chocolate on the fresh finish. Drink now through 2014. 50 cases imported. (2009)"
