Wine Enthusiast: "Starts with jammy, dusty, simple aromas of raspberry and strawberry. The palate has both a juicy front edge but also a creamy middle that houses lactic-tasting pie cherry and strawberry flavors. Regular stuff for simple sipping... (Aug 2010)"
Producer notes: "Rich ruby red in color with purple hints. Fresh fruit, cinnamon and cherry aromas. Very attractive velvety feel on the palate, delicious finish. Alcohol 13.7%."

Wine Enthusiast: "Light and fresh, floral and peachy; this is textbook Pinot Grigio that delivers all the easy drinkability you require from an informal, affordable wine like this. You can pair it with fresh summer foods and salads. (Nov 2010)"
Palmadina is the second label from the Primosic family of Friuli. The Palmadina style is fresh, fragrant and immediate. This wine is clean, fresh and bright -- classic Pinot Grigio with a very slight coppery hue.

Pellehaut, from the Roman "pila haut" (high point), is owned by the Béraut family. Gaston Béraut oversees the domaine, which also includes cattle, wheat and sunflowers. One son, Martin, is the vineyard manager, commonly found between the vines. The other, Mathieu, is the winemaker. Mathieu studied under Yves Grassa at nearby Château de Tariquet, as well as at Château Beycheville in Bordeaux and, during one harvest in the nineties, was Jim Clendenon' right-hand man at Au Bon Climat in Southern California. Ampelomeryx is a blend of Chardonnay and Petit Manseng, fermented and aged in new oak.

93-96 points Fine Wine Review: "The Chapelle-Chambertin is pure and deep with darker fruit than the Griotte and a fine minerality. The last several vintages have been kind to Chapelle-Chambertin, both here and at other addresses, and this one overflows with fruit. (Feb 2009)"
94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "As fine as the Griotte and Charmes are in 2007, the Chapelle takes the quality up to the next level in this vintage, as it combines the precision and nascent complexity of the Charmes and the deeper and sappier profile of the Griotte. The bouquet is outstanding, as the wine jumps from the glass in a blaze of black cherries, cocoa, game, blood orange, and black soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very sappy at the core, with great focus and balance, fine-grained tannins, tangy acids and outstanding length and grip on the complex and classy finish. A great bottle of Chapelle. 2014-2040. (Jan/Feb 2009)"
93 points Wine Spectator: "[$316 list] Seems marked by oak, yet with substance underneath. Cedar and sandalwood aromas are backed by cherry, currant, anise and mineral flavors, but overall this is sweet, intense and saturated on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2025. 40 cases imported. (8/25/10)"
92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel split 50/50 between Chapelle and En Gémeaux). A ripe liqueur-like nose featuring red and blue berry fruit that has violet and rose fragrances around the edges that precede rich, full, sappy and wellmuscled big-bodied flavors that are seductive, minerally and textured and culminate in a punchy, energetic and driving finish. I like the underlying sense of tension here and while the big tannins are less sophisticated than those of the Griotte, there is perhaps a bit more overall depth here, at least at present. Drink: 2019+. (Jan 2010)"

92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .5 ha parcel). A notably pure nose of extract of red pinot fruit, red currant and blue berry hints combine with mineral and earth nuances, both of which can also be found on the rich, full and naturally sweet big-bodied flavors that possess excellent mid-palate fat and fine length on the balanced finale. This is a classic Bressandes that blends volume, power and refinement. This too is exquisite juice. Comments: Sweet spot. Drink: 2020+. (Apr 2010)"
91+ points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "The Pousse d’Or 2008 Corton Bressandes displays deep, roasted meaty richness -- very domesticated and clean rather than gamey -- allied to dark cherry and plum tinged with their pits and crushed stone. Landanger opines that his Bressandes is more struck by their very recent bottling than are his three (at the time I tasted) already-bottled premier crus, but I found this broadly rich Corton notably fine-grained in tannin and savory. I’m inclined though to take his word for it that there is even more here than currently meets the palate. In any case, I suspect there is 12-15 year potential. (Jun 2010)"

Lovely and this is a Pommard of refinement but still a Pommard. Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding. Drink: 2018+. (Apr 2010)"

Joelle Thomson (Mindfood): "Everything you want in a pinot gris but don't usually get is abundant in this zappy little 13.9% alcohol pinot blanc. Firm acids, full body, an off-dry style that is luscious and flavoursome as well as varietally characteristic. You know the sentiment 'you had to be there'? This is a wine you have to taste. (Sep 2008)"
Michael Cooper's Guide to New Zealand Wines 2010: "Grown in the Waihopai Valley, the 2007 vintage was hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts in old French barrels, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Pale gold, it is fleshy and smooth, with ripe, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, showing very good depth and complexity, and a dry finish. Ready."
Producer notes: "Pale gold. Candied orange peel; clove, cinnamon, mace; a pungent honey note, like miel des forets; marmalade, baked apricot; brioche. Powerful on the entry, broad and rich -- orange flan, spice cake -- but crisp acidity and brisk minerality quickly follow, girdling the ample flesh of the wine. 550 cases produced."

There’s a funky/wild character on the nose over aromas of warm strawberries and raspberries, game, earth, forest floor, loam, truffles and a whiff of dried herbs. Very crisp and tight in the mouth, this medium-full bodied Pinot gives a medium level of silky tannins with great flavor concentration and a long layered finish. Drink it now to 2015+. (Oct 2010)"
4-1/2 stars, Michael Cooper's Guide to New Zealand Wines 2010: "Grown on clay slopes on the south side of the Wairau Valley, the 2007 vintage is a fleshy, elegant and supple wine with concentrated, ripe plum and spice flavours, savoury and complex, and a silky, sustained finish."

91 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "[$45 list] Bright medium red. Pure aromas of raspberry, cherry, spices and orange peel showed increasingly liqueur-like ripeness with extended aeration. Dense but high-pitched, with a juicy blood orange note that initially reminded me of Chambolle-Musigny. Finishes with a nicely restrained sweetness and a light touch. This is still quite young. I would have scored it even higher but for some emerging suggestions of superripeness. (Sep/Oct 2009)"

4 stars, Michael Cooper's Guide to New Zealand Wines 2010: "The 2007 vintage was hand-picked at Rapaura, fermented with indigenous yeasts and less-aged for eight months. It's a light (11 per cent alcohol), medium style (34 grams/litre of residual sugar) with strong, ripe, citrusy flavours, finely balanced for current enjoyment."
Producer notes: "Pale white gold. Fresh, and ripe; comice pear, white peach, red delicious apple; lifted and floral - honeysuckle, alyssum, cherry blossom; wet stone. Compact and juicy, flavours of ripe pear, red apple and talc; lightly sweet floral notes play through the phenolic architecture of the wine; apt balance of acid and sugar, so that the sweetness seems to disappear on the long, minerally finish. Production 350 cases."

93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "[$78 list] Full ruby. Pure, sexy aromas of black fruits, minerals and spice cake. Concentrated, superrich and impressively structured; a sweet, dense, primary wine with terrific depth and breadth. Offers intriguing hints of woodsmoke and pomegranate, and conveys a strong sense of extract. The vibrant finish features compellingly sweet tannins and a whiplash of black cherry and licorice flavor. A great showing already, but this should reward 12 to 15 years of aging. (Jan/Feb 2006)"

Finishes with refreshing mineral bite and excellent persistence, strongly echoing the dark berry notes. This will benefit from a few years of patience. (Sep/Oct 2008)"

Not yet reviewed; 2008 vintage rated 88 points by Wine Advocate: "The Reverdy 2008 Sancerre Rouge Terre de Maimbray -- from fruit grown on pure white chalk; subjected to greater selectivity, cold soak, and longer fermentation; and rendered entirely in barrel -- suggests a tart blackberry and red currant melange suffused with salt and chalk, and a sense of chewy fruit skin complimented by glyceral richness. It will probably be worth following for a couple more years."

Producer notes: "This well-balanced wine has typical aromas of violet with an emphasis on fruit, and comes from nine different vineyards of the Gamay varietal, which are located throughout the Moulin a Vent appellation. 87 points Jay Miller(Wine Advocate): "[$14 list] More serious is the 2009 Reserve Chardonnay that saw 90% of the wine aged in French and American oak for 8 months. It offers up a reticent nose with notions of green apple, white peach, and a hint of toast. In the glass it displays a solid core of fruit, savory flavors with moderate depth, and good balance. Drink this very good value over the next 1-2 years. (Feb 2012)"
Producer notes: "This is one of our most traditional and best-known lines and features perfect harmony from delicate aging in French oak barrels plus the additional complexity that comes with bottle aging. These wines evoke a unique experience in each of its three varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the Maipo Valley and Chardonnay from Casablanca. Color: Intense, bright golden yellow. Aroma: Intense and complex with delicate notes of honey and ripe tropical fruits that recall banana, pineapple, and passion fruit, along with notes of toast and vanilla. Palate: Crisp and refreshing with good balance and a long and pleasing finish. Pairing Suggestion: Drink with sauced full-bodied fish, shellfish, grilled rabbit, white meats, and ripe cheeses."

Erbaluce is the classic indigenous white grape variety of northern Piedmont. 'Doranda' is made entirely of Erbaluce and neatly and elegantly expresses the character of the variety. The perfume ranges from almond to mandarin orange, wild flowers, and a quality of sappiness and minerality. Grown at very low yield in soils known for the production of structured red wines, this Erbaluce expresses a power and richness rare for the variety.
