Voted 'Best of the Best' by Robb Report Magazine. Awarded multiple Gold and Double Golds at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. At first, you are puzzled, if not thrilled, by the semisweet, delicate, honey-like opening sniffs; the honey component expands to include vanilla, buttercream and light toffee. Finishes smoothly, with a honeyed sweetness.

95 points The Tasting Panel: "[$50 list] Perfumed and floral from the start. Lime and papaya lilt on the tongue in a soft bubble of texture and smoothness. Oats and chamomile give notice mid-palate while brown sugar and chocolate powder melt on the finish. (Aug 2010)"
****Highly Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Excellent purity; silvery appearance. Features delicate and pleasing aromas of dill, pine and citrus in the initial inhalations; second phase inhalations detect a moderate amount of saltiness and rounded scents that include beeswax, light honey and fresh dill; the aromatic focus is definitely on elegance. Entry features an element of light smoke, tar and black pepper; mid-palate is pleasingly oily, soft in approach and supple. Ends on a frisky, piquant note of heightened black pepper. Nicely done; classy. (Sep 2011)"
The agave aroma is intense with herbal tinges of mint and rosemary, delicate hues of flowers and black pepper, hints of grapefruit and pineapple. It is crisp and clean, well balanced and exceptionally smooth.

96 points Wine Enthusiast: "Although billed as a joven, this Tequila is blended with a touch of añejo. The end result is extraordinarily smooth, with a very sweet, fruity, almost wine-like nose but a bold, pure peppery flavor that finishes cleanly. The packaging is gift-worthy, presenting the bottle in a gold-and-robin’s egg blue box, like a precious jewel. Abv 40%. (May 2013)"

The Tasting Panel: "So confident are they of the character of what they've created, longtime friends George Clooney and restaurant-and-nightclub mogul Rande Gerber bottled their tequila in the equivalent of a plain white envelope. One sniff, sip and swallow will confirm they were right about their tequila. The Casamigos Reposado is barrel-aged for seven months. The oak contributes the added flavors of caramel, vanilla and chocolate to its palate. (Apr 2013)"

****Highly Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Clear as rainwater but with the slightest of pewter tinges; some sediment seen floating but not enough for concern. First inhalation picks up a medium-sweet, sap-like aroma that's earthy, grassy, and rocky-elemental (lead pencil/shale)--almost like sugarcane; additional time in the glass brings out a honey aspect that isn't cloying or unctuous, but just floral and gently sweet. Entry is mildly briny, fiber-like, and off dry; midpalate is where the action is as the taste profile takes flight in the forms of uncooked asparagus and green olive. Finishes with a flourish of dill. A barnyard, rustic variety of blanco that, for what it represents, like a 1980s style, is very good... (Dec 2010)"
The very pale straw/yellow tint is as clear as rainwater. The first sniffings encounter very delicate scents of dill, sage, and olive brine; in later whiffs after further aeration, a fine creaminess is discerned. The palate entry is crisply astringent and vegetal; at midpalate a butteriness bordering on toffee/caremel delights the taste buds. Ends up clean, spirity, briny and astringent.
Wine Enthusiast: "Chinaco Blanco is another charter member of the elite. Bottled within 30 days of distillation, its Tequila is fresh, vibrant and brimming with character. The brand well deserves its 'must have' status for its voluptuous body and lively bouquet of citrus and ripe red fruit. The palate offers a generous helping of fresh herbs, black pepper and a hint of oak-induced smoke on the finish. It's a blanco best appreciated neat. (Sep 2009)"

Tequila Examiner: "Similar to other tequilas of its age, Corrido Reposado is the color of light, golden straw. Tears are spread evenly apart, and streak slowly down the glass. It has a strong caramel scent that gives way to aromas of sweet agave and honey. Explore the nose a bit further and you will detect a pinch of cinnamon, creamy vanilla and salty, roasted nuts. As should be the case in a reposado, the flavor of agave takes center stage. Sweet and floral, the taste of highlands agave moves from the palate to the back of the mouth, where hints of milk chocolate and vanilla blossom from the lingering agave flavor. A mild, leathery smokiness is inherent in an aftertaste that is also characterized by the flavor of a citrus-chocolate truffle. (4/1/10)"

National Spirits Examiner: "...an añejo tequila aged in French Sauternes barrels... On the nose, it is rich and deep, with strong notes of fresh ripe fruit, red peppercorn, raw leather and burnt sugar. On the mouth it is round and full, a velvet melange of bright acids, fresh tannins, and a sweet, nutty palate that doesn't ignore the 100% agave notes it began with. The finish is extremely long, the sort of finish that comes back five minutes into the conversation to remind you of just how pleasant your adventure has been. Though it is classified as an añejo, its depth and complexity would convince most aficionados it falls in the extra-añejo category, approaching the sort of leather-and-wood notes of a fine cognac or single malt whisky. Fans of Don Julio Real or Partida Elegante will find much to love with Leona... Leona rests in a book-fold black wooden box, nestled in red velvet. A special black riff on the brand's ornate silver cap, and a python-skin flask seal the deal, blending luxury with the brand's characteristic rock-n-roll edge. (11/28/12)"

98 points and 'Top 50 Spirits 2011,' Wine Enthusiast: "A stunning limited-edition añejo. The golden color and caramel scent hint at what's to come: sweet agave flavor, a lingering whisper of smoke and mellow notes of tropical fruit, Sauternes and butterscotch. (May 2011)"
***** Highest Recommendation, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Attractive and bright pale yellow/gold color; superb purity. Initial sniffs offer highlights of marshmallow, vanilla, oaky and sawdust; secondary sniffs following seven minutes of aeration feature the vanilla aspect as well as leafy/floral notes not noticed in the first inhalations; a smashingly lovely and elegant bouquet. Entry is firm, delightfully oily, mildly peppery and oaky sweet; midpalate is elegant, slightly toasty, medium viscous, herbal and delicate sweet. Finishes softly, with a sweet oak ending. I'm gladly upping the ante on the rating to five stars. Exquisitely tasty. (Sep 2012)"

91 points The Tasting Panel: "It certainly has shelf presence, from its handcrafted round crystal bottle of texturized glass resembling an armadillo, to its artisanal braided rope neck. The salty, herbal entry is one of the more unique plata expressions I have tasted; basil and sage meander through lime and cooked agave. With a full body framed by sleek mineral tones, this high mountain region tequila is a spicy, exotic creature. (Jul 2012)"
Producer notes: "Aroma: Mixture of fruits and cooked agave; hints of flowers, as well as, fruit vapors of citrus and subtle vanilla notes. Taste: Citrus fruits with agave at the back with a long sweet finish."
